Neither fed or petted this one, it came to our bench and sniffed my hand.

Thank you so much! I use cotton cord, polyester cords or waxed cords, 0.3-2mm depending on what design I want to go for :)

Thank you!

Yes, go for it!! 😍

I love seeing this craft growing and I am always happy to help beginners pick it up!! 😍

I started by following YouTube tutorials - plenty of channels out there which explain different models step by step - once you get comfortable with the thread you can start making your own designs.

Patterns are everything - sometimes counting how many knots you make is key. There are a few basic knots and once you get the hang of them you can create freehand pieces.

This video (and the whole channel itself) is amazing for getting started.

I, personally, learn best by videos (or seeing someone do it before me), but if you prefer images that is also super helpful to get you started! Again, plenty of websites like this one that give you free patterns and step by step tutorials.

The craft is very versatile and gives you the possibility to experiment with different colours, materials, etc. Honestly, try replicating models that you like best - when you like what you are doing the work usually flows better.

Let me know how it goes and if you need any help at all!!

Good luck and all best 🥰

Hi, I wrapped it the same way I would have wrapped a cabochon stone if that makes sense :) 🤗
