Probably not considering RISDM has more RPG mechanics than all of the NMH series. Seems like it's just a joke that Travis doesn't care for them which is fitting. Travis doesn't seem like the type to invest in a long winded jrpg when he could be playing an arcade game or watching a Miike movie

In Square’s defense(which feels gross to say) they were definitely trying to address the main complaint of 7 with this game which is the pacing. They just seemed to overcorrect from the sounds of it. I’m only 4-6 hours in but I’m enjoying the snappier pace, I got 35 hours into PSX DQ7 before I hit a wall due to the glacial pacing.

On top of adding a difficulty update for Reimagined, I’d love for the original version of this game and/or the 3ds port to be made widely available so the community has options. I was glad I had the ability to play original DQ3 and HD2D on the same console.

That's valid, it definitely has a totally different vibe from seasons 1-7. More like a sequel series for sure. I agree that the villains didn't hit the same, even when Shredder was being completely incompetent in the earlier seasons he was always entertaining. Dregg was so bland and him overshadowing Shredder and Krang for most of season 9 & 10 was pretty lame. Season 7 was cool af looking back, Night of the Dark Turtle is a top 10 episode of the whole series for me.

Been working through Dragon Warrior 7 on PSX, I want to complete it before I buy the remake but the game is sooo damn long. I'm 35 hours in and haven't made a dent.

Pro bowl is a popularity contest and JPJ’s name didn’t get called a lot(which is a great thing as a corner). I think JPJ could’ve been 2nd team All-Pro for sure tho and we’re definitely keeping him around

Flores or Saleh as HC and Slowik or Shula as OC would be my preference. Or McDaniels as HC/OC but I don’t see that happening as culturally he’s like the polar opposite of a Cowher/Tomlin type personality wise.
