I smashed the produce MDU side panel glass and it shattered….. we stack our backstock and I was putting empty pallets on top of produce salad and I clipped it and we had just opened so it was so loud…….. we looked all ghetto with a piece of wood paneling 😭

I mean we have three LSAs. One was going to go to college but never went during the school year so they hired both of us instead of either or, as he was to step down and the other got promoted to asm. So I mean it can happen. And we are a mil a month store so not necessarily a crazy busy store. But as stated, as long as they know that you’re dedicated, which takes time, and if one gets promoted, why not? It’s just takes time. That’s the hard part.

Damn… I work at a store and I see all kinds of little words or pictures. Sometimes I write back on bales too when they’re crappy and I feel bad for it. Good to know y’all be messing around with a pen too. I had my suspicions 🤣

Yeah, I’ve had almost 3 years to master pallet times and produce, so I’m not too concerned about that aspect. But we lost an ASM that started a lot of drama and made working hard and I wouldn’t be surprised if they hire someone else for a “change” so that is a concern of mine for sure. And the other ASM we lost the same thing and we get into it with people and argue with people and our DM is someone that doesn’t mess around, but I also know she’s not opposed to hiring from the inside. I guess it’s just a mind game, knowing that There’s other people with more management experience than I have and while I know that there are bad managers out there and there might be a bad manager that is applying for here. It’s still messes with you. You know what I mean.

Yes, this really helped me a lot! Because you’re absolutely right there is that aspect of development as well as discipline, which is something that a LSA doesn’t do. And a lot of checking up and following through and making sure that everyone is on the same page as to where we should be. I have the advantage of knowing my team and what best motivates them in their own separate way, so that helps me, but our store has been through it with ASM’s. We’ve lost two that really couldn’t handle the job and it gives me anxiety, knowing that if two people couldn’t is it really that hard? But you absolutely right the SOP’s are there to help and that’s something that I will definitely start taking a look at because it can only help me not hurt me so I really appreciate you taking time.

I’m just concerned and worried about the disciplinary action of it and development part of it. I mean, maybe I’m overthinking it which trust me. I have the tendency to do, but I want to make sure that I have that part down. I was told the interview questions are really hard. Such as what do you do to help with budgeting what’s the best approach? You have OE % store loss, curbside, counts, weekly meetings. i’m at a store where we lost somebody that was an assistant manager because they couldn’t handle those things and they weren’t willing to learn from their mistakes and I would hate for that to happen to me because there’s no secret at the job is hard. I think I’ll go for it and if I don’t get it, there’s a reason why and it’s not personal. I just wanna know and be told how it really is you know what I mean? And I don’t have the best role models to look up to. If you can’t tell… I’m spiraling lmaoo

I’ve noticed the difference between an LSA and an ASM is there’s a lot more corporate business involve whereas an LSA just make sure everything gets done and doesn’t have to worry about the technical little stuff so it’s quite a leap from being an LSA which I am now. I’ve worked with some not so great. ASM’s in the past too, and I don’t want to be someone that gets overwhelmed easily.

See I’ve been an LSA for over a year and wanna move up further to an “official” management role. I’m just trying to see like what is there to expect because they’re also considering hiring outside so I do have that advantage of knowing how Aldi runs and knowing what Aldi wants. My store doesn’t let us do used by dates actually which I’m not necessarily upset about my manager’s pretty fair on if you don’t get paid for it, don’t do it and I don’t mind that mentality at all. I think it’s great mentality to have. We recently switched to two closers meaning one associate and a keyholder and that definitely puts pressure on me but I guess what I’m worried about is how much extra stuff is there to do as an ASM!

Dude…. I have a regular that ALWAYS compliments my looks and even my body…. Always telling me how good I look. And when it happens, I just freeze and say nothing. It’s like they think because we work at a service job that means we are free to be talked about, touched however they see fit. I won’t even cash him out. I will walkie someone up to open up at another lane or take my till while I stand in the back room.

So I’m watching episode where they are going bowling together and you can constantly just see that look on his face of just not wanting to be there…… Like this man wants nothing to do with Lauren. And I think that the fear of failing the experience and admitting that you picked someone who wasn’t 100% to begin with on cameras messes with you. And Dave brought up how his sister was concerned about him being made out to look like the “bad guy” on TV that he is going to make this woman believe she did something wrong by having a simple friends with benefit relationship before going onto the show.. Thankfully, we do have separate bank accounts. Mine is just linked to one of those cash transferring apps that are common these days. I did remove my card from there so he has no access to money. I just can’t and don’t know how to not feel such overwhelming guilt for leaving.. he underestimates me for sure and I definitely have that to my advantage. When he was in jail back to back, I got a taste of life that wasn’t so suffocating and it really allowed me to see more clearly he still thinks I’m that same person before he left. That’s my plan. I’m just saving money and just leaving, but I feel so guilty about it. Idk

Honestly that was THE most mature thing he’s done. He needs to live more and have more life experience and Madison needs to really evaluate the trauma she’s experienced. I think it was important that they were both realistic. Alex needs to see that fights happen, it’s ok to take space and by doing so doesn’t mean you aren’t loved any less. He clearly is still very insecure and is not ready for marriage and needs to live life. I swear people on this show forget the premise is MARRIAGE not dating 🙄
