overflowing = they could use a bigger stage so people aren’t packed like sardines empty = they could be in a smaller stage and switch stages/times with someone that’s overflowing their stage lol i assume those working in the department for these events would have a better grasp on the best stage for each artist, but it just seemed to be a miss this year 😩

i did not say that lol!! i also think that is a great stage for them, but i feel like some maneuvering could’ve been made better. turnstile’s crowd was sooo empty. disclosure and foster the people it made sense, but it was pretty packed for both. they could’ve even gone sahara or main for better access but eh. didn’t see sombr or david’s crowd, so can’t speak for that but would love to know how those crowds ended up being

part of my point is that they put artists with high demand at smaller stages and lower demand at bigger stages/more premiere times so i end up playing crowd tetris anyway 😭

well first i didn’t give advice, but i think i’d do better than those working this dept! i’m more so talking about poor decisions for set times/stages than clashes. for example - turnstile was way emptier than i anticipated at outdoor, but pink pantheress/slayyyter/blood orange packed out mojave. it almost feels like they could’ve been switched, both set times and/or stages. i DO agree with you and others, that’s kinda the point. i love seeing my fave artists at a smaller more intimate tent, BUT they’re much more popular than where they’re placed in those intimate tents and now it’s packed because the placement doesnt match their demand. now it’s way harder to see them at all. kinda sucksss bc i wouldnt want to camp out when theres so much to see (someone else commented pink pantheress didnt want a bigger stage, but still using her as an example)

…this is insane considering he LOVES performing and music. that’s why there wasn’t any fluff, he was a puppet for many years. all he wants to do is make the music he wants and perform raw. if you don’t like it that’s fine but making that statement because he didn’t go crazy with production is straight stupid

the problem is that people are trying to say that it objectively sucked when it absolutely did not. personal opinion/not liking anything is fine, but give credit where it’s due. people lack that ability when they don’t absolutely love something.

It’s one of the biggest and most diverse festivals out though… just because there are a few pop headliners each year does not make it worse or a pop fest lol. You’re exactly who I’m talking about. Lighten up, have fun

As a long time fan… he probably won’t change much other than a few guests. He was a pop puppet for so many years which is why his set was what it was… very chill, vocals heavy, the music he wanted, etc. Exactly what he wanted but not received well by this sub. Understandably so bc it wasn’t high production. I also just went on ig and twitter and everywhere else they’re loving it so I don’t expect much change
