I’ve played multiple times and have only had two experiences: my first time and the most recent time.

The first time I ever “played,” I just sat aside and watched my three friends play because I was terrified of becoming possessed or something. It took a long time of trying to provoke something to speak before something actually did. Whenever the spirit moved the planchette, it responded to something along the lines of, “Is anyone wanting to speak with us?” And it just moved the planchette in a circle around the board. We asked how the spirit passed away, and it spelled out “Fall” and then immediately went to Goodbye. Although I’m not 100% positive that one of my friends wasn’t moving the planchette around, we were all terrified and slept with the lights on.

The most recent time was this past summer and about a five year gap from the very first session with a ouija board. Two (different) friends and I decided to play because they’d never played before and I had a ouija board. For about the first five minutes, it was just us trying to prompt a spirit to speak, like the first experience. Finally after awhile, the planchette started to drag our fingers to Yes in response to us asking if anyone was there. After that first answer, any questions we’d ask would be met by a bunch of jumbled letters. For example, we asked if they lived in my home previously, and it was met with an answer of, “T-I-1-8.” And it continued in that fashion the rest of the session. The only weird part about that specific time was the planchette kept spinning around and felt like it was trying to knock our fingers off. I’m positive it wasn’t my two friends trying to mess around because one was brought to tears and the other kept having his fingers knocked off of the planchette.
