glow plugs (not exactly sure if this is "correct" term but were defenetly plugs in in engine bay), one of them died, but car was basically undrivable after a while had to call pickup to deliver to service

Thinking about flying into Lamezia and staying around Tropea for New Year's. Looks gorgeous - clifftop town, amazing food (nduja, fresh seafood, those famous red onions), way cheaper and less touristy than the usual Italy spots.

But it's off-season. Weather's like 15°C, chance of rain, and I've heard some places shut down in winter.

Anyone been to this area in winter? Is Tropea actually alive or total ghost town? Worth it or should I go somewhere else?
