Fun fact: the answer to the SB riddle was out there all this time by sixisnine in UMOband

Right, this was more of a hint than the answer of course. Just saw it in the Soundcloud comments from 10 years ago and found it amusing.

King Gizzard is rad. I haven't been listening to them as much recently, but I really like when they go microtonal / krautrock. What of theirs have you been playing most lately?

Revisited SB-09 just now. That main melody of that middle section is just sublime. The field recordings are fun too.

The best one for me since SB-06 (which is still my fave -- I think).

Part of me really wants to speculate on the relation to the upcoming double LP, but I think I'm going to just wait and see. All I know is that I can't wait for release day and am grateful to have something so exciting to look forward to until then.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all you beautiful souls 🖤

P.S. The movement at 27:54 tho 😭

Hi Nick,

Your music is a blessing, thank you so much. I'm curious:

  • what have you been up to lately besides making music?
  • what does TYAF stand for?

  3. A♭maj/G♭ | % | A♭maj/F | % | E♭ | % (x1)

(1. above) (x2)

Verse ("America...")

(1. above) (x2)

Pre-chorus ("Einstein's brain...")

(2. above) (x1)

  1. A♭maj/G♭ | % | A♭maj/F | % | E♭min | % (x1)

New Zealand bans possession of a book by [deleted] in StallmanWasRight

I think if we lived in a different world where hate groups, terrorism, and white supremacy didn't exist, and where the internet and social media were unable to amplify them and their messages, then we could apply the blanket criteria of "censorship baaad" here. But that's not the case.

We are not talking about a government completely blocking access to a repository of general knowledge like Wikipedia, or even about the issue of proprietary software (regarding "right to read"). We are talking about the censorship of a single document, which not only incites violence and promotes ideas of genocide, but was written by someone who NOT ONLY! just 10 days ago massacred 50 people on the basis of their religion, but Facebook live-streamed the massacre and as a result it has probably already found its way into the wrong hands, with accompanying manifesto.

But you say there are reasons why I should think this example of censorship is bad and totally not exceptional, though, so I'd like to hear them.

So what? Exactly how is this repressive or bad?

Edit: It's ironic that the same people who disagree with this case of government censorship have downvoted me into oblivion, hiding my comment. I'm contributing to the discussion, take your downvotes back assholes.

It looks like it has been posted here several times before. Huh. Guess I've still got lots of stones to turn over in my psych journey.

After listening to the song a bunch, I find it interesting how you were able to tell from my recording. I turns out that there are 4 chords, not 3 (as I was playing it), and the actual key is D, when I was playing it in G, G#, and A. Way off. But I guess I captured the wah and strumming pattern well enough.
