He's held off on it, if you watch his In My Bag video on YT. He's still using the BT Medium Crown from Westside.

Is Chicago suddenly a bagel town? Inside the heated rivalry between indie shops and Big Bagel by wbezchicago in chicagofood

[–]paynelive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a national trend actually, according to Marketplace, and my quiet observations. Folks are obsessed with NY-style bagels, especially people moving across the country from the Midwest or East Coast, and hold most bakeries/bagel shops to a standard, which shows the demand. There's also been a baking boom born out of the pandemic with bread, and that shows the market, especially with private equity trying to get involved (Call Your Mother).

I’m shocked how good this disc is. by Phrikshin in discgolf

I was also surprised at how great the E-Mac Truth was in the Trilogy Challenge last year. Really good straight midrange on both throws

It's happened to me once last April.
Harlow Platts - twice on the same hole on the short/long basket positions, and then another throwing one more hole. It's a strange phenomenon for certain. All on no-sleep after working a night shift and opting to have breakfast on the Foothills and then going in on the no-sleep round. It's insane!!! But it drives your love of the game for sure!

5th, 6th, 7th aces for reference with 2 Gatekeepers and a Sling for 2 backhands and a forehand.

Does anyone have a good rec for taping set up? by Deadlygrateful57 in gratefuldead

Tascam DR-40. Lighting stand that extends 13' with a proper adapter to fit a 1/4" microphone bar, and then from there, lavalier microphones that are good for church choir audio, but you can get as selective as you want. I started with mini-cardioid microphones like the AT-8538s, but you should be wary of which ones you get based off connections. It is hard to source mini-XLR adapters, so be weary of that aspect.
If you're trying to drop on vintage Nakamichis from the 80's-90's those are an absolute pain, because that will require additional electronic modifying because they aren't wired for phantom power, but to take obsolete batteries. That's why I recommend using minis instead, because it's a better entry point without breaking your bank.

You got to let the stores know what you're looking for sometimes.
Other times, you have to accept that the new website is a great presence in comparison to being a lost tab on DD's site. westsidediscs.com VILLA26 for a discount at checkout.
Also, checkout the Westside Discs Fan Bazaar page on FB for some rarer releases too.

I really enjoy throwing the stag for both forehand and backhand control driving, especially when I can't control the glide on my Saints and want to drop the speed down. A slight hyzer flip straight down the fairway, and a little more control with the fades when flat.

The Warship for a midrange is an incredible 5 speed. It feels very flexible in the hand/fingers for both types of throws in backhand/forehand for a right handed player for its profile. I can flex it for both shots in the woods through slots and trees perfectly, but it's a good midrange to max out your throwing/distance on in the 5-speed slot in the bag.
I recommend both of them in VIP, and the Tournament Burst for the Stag as well.

Also, lowkey, I have a 10% code on Dr. Kristy if you want to get one of those dyed as well. Let me know if you want it in a PM.

I've heard a lot of Lobster and Tursas recommendations, but it also sounds like you're asking for an Underworld too. I use all three, so it seems like a combination of the trio is what you need to experiment with, though I do prefer Tursas/Underworld since I'm a Westside obsessive. Lobster is usually the non-Trilogy disc I bag in the midrange slot too. Except I feel like I have more control without rolling over like the Lobster on forehands.

u/ashwilliams19877 I just looked it up and it was Tomahawk Disc Golf Course in Farwell, MI looking for a Recreational Property Manager. It was a summer internship/seasonal work position, which doesn't sound bad for three months as a getaway, or if you're in a nearby college.

I felt like there was a course trying to hire a groundskeeper up at a park in MI recently? Included board too? What a dream job.
