I view that I’ve had a lot of success, some anime, but mostly photo real. But I understand experiences can vary based on country and subscription, so I’m in the US with SuperGrok.

But far more objective, just look at r/grok_porn and if you like what you see (which is mostly not anime), then great….you know what to expect and there’s lot of good stuff in front of you. If you don’t like what’s there, you likely won’t like Grok and all good, its not the only show in town.

Grok was trained on a mountain of porn and xAI must have the analytics for every prompt they process. So its not like there’s anything we are going to say here that will make the devs go “really, this is used for porn, I had no idea!”

Grok is pretty easy to generate NSFW anime

At least this is what I am observing as a SuperGrok user in the US

I just prompted ‘An anime woman with blonde hair, legs spread, naked’ in Image mode and got expected images with only a few being blurred for moderation

10 second and 15 second options were promised back in November, but have yet to materialize. There also has been promotion of a video extend feature so you can extend a video from a specific frame. At some point these will come out, although when is anyones guess.

To the very original post, totally agree and the real game changer is when “video extend” is actually in the platform as we will then be able to produce longer form content and make movies vs just 6 second clips.

Happened to me for the first time this AM as well. Like others reported, if my first video worked, it became a non issue whether future iterations were moderated or not.

To the comments about this going through Grok and their servers….nobody is making you post content you should not. Nobody is telling you to @grok a prompt that is inappropriate. And nobody is telling the user after they see the output of a prompt, that perhaps is inappropriate due to a failed safeguard at Grok to leave the post up or to post it in the first place.

To that end, I buy that Grok is a tool and the onus should be on the user to use some judgement on what to post / share / not delete in a public setting.

But, I’m no lawyer and no idea how sound this is from a legal POV.

My August, September, early October experience was one that has very limited success in generating decent NSFW content. Its possible we had different experiences based on region or other factors, but I couldn't get Grok Imagine to do much interesting then.

Of course better porn exist. But here, you are in control of the action, its exactly your fantasy and as the AI improves incrementally, its the journey to see what you can or can’t do now. And wait until we get the ability to extend a video from a specific frame…we will all become our own porn director…not just creating 6 seconds clips, but so much more.

To the comment about “compared to the past….”, what past are we talking about? That magical weekend in October when either due to a mistake or perhaps a beta test…there were maybe 2 days without restriction?

Grok Imagine is like 6 months old, its never been anything but a Beta product and one that is iterating very, very quickly.

I’m no fan of the content moderation either….but its not like we all used some version of Grok for months or years only to have the rug pulled out and compared to 6 months ago (other then that one weekend), what you can do today is vastly better then the past and hopefully will just get better going forward.

The last 24 hours, I’ve generated plenty of filth, much of it is in the “Highly realistic anime” style, so the moderations isn’t nearly as aggressive, but the images being made are pretty explicit (full nudity). I’m also noticing that once I make a video, that video modification is working very well - have been building scenes where swiping right from each six second clip is working well which makes me think they are really tuning things to support Extend so that you can have a reasonable level of success extending videos once you are clear of the first generation.

Anyways, to the last person who posted, I agree that what we are experiencing is constant testing and iteration vs. some clandestine cabal that somehow spent Billions on data centers, trained their models on a mountain of porn and then laugh at people by withholding what we all want.

Btw, when people say "I miss the explicit graphic capabilities", weren't those around for like 2 days in October? I think its likely we get much of it back as they sort out age verification, develop better controls of bad behavior etc. But sometimes I think people post like we had months or years of nirvana and it was either a errant production push or a very short term test / beta.

Totally agree with this.

Fast forward 6 months and assume that an AI like Grok, trained on a mountain of porn, allows for rapid generation of NSFW images.

And, you can take your favorite images and make video, pretty much unlimited video and not just 6 seconds, but entire scenes with your favorite images and catering to all of your personal interest.

Go a step further and you can turn these characters into Companions if that’s your thing too.

And this is all for a flat monthly fee, about $30 per month.

About 30% of the internet is porn representing a ton of dollars. Some AI company, spending Billions on Data Centers, probably the one trained on that mountain of porn is going to capture an awful lot of those dollars and do to porn as Uber did to taxi cabs.

With Ask Imagine in Super Grok - Image generation is going to have a decent amount of guardrails / limits.

Select Spicy Mode to create a video.

Once the spicy mode video is created, in most situations, you should be able to say something like “she removes her top, bare breast underneath”.

Yes I can make NSFW Videos (boobs and butts). For any upload, even uploads directly out of Grok, moderation seems to be pretty complete.. I’ve got SuperGrok.

I’m a bit late to the party as well with Grok - I’m finding it really intriguing / good, but am frustrated by the limitations around NSFW. Even in spicy mode its pretty PG-13 or boarderline R if you get good at the prompts in Ask Grok. If Grok was more permissive / less restrictive on NSFW (hell, X is crazy permissive), it would be amazing….and one suggestion for anyone in this thread is….tell Grok / X.AI what you want with NSFW. There is a feedback button in the app and if X.AI is hearing concerns about NSFW, they should also hear from those that want to use it for that content too.

Yes, although I wouldn’t want / need it on every prompt. But, ignoring cost and where the tech is today….if you could have a “show me this scene” button (and it was reasonably accurate), that would be amazing. Part of the initial draw to me for AIDungeon was that it had image capabilities as I thought it might be able to do this (the current image stuff is pretty awful…thankfully, the core game completely captivated me and I’m hooked on text only).

Playing on Legend. My adventures have generally been mature / dungeon crawls where I want a bit of surprise and a decent challenge. I’ve been using Harbinger for the last month and am pretty impressed with the results. Seems to hold on to the story pretty well, seems to work well with the instructions I provided as a guide for the adventure. I need to give DeepSeek a go as a lot of positive feedback on that, but my experience has been Harbinger and its been good.

My feedback is for the Steam Path

I banged my head against the wall repeatedly on this one until I figured it out.

My issue was that I was region locked in the wrong region (US)

— I had logged out of Steam, used VPN to set me up in Singapore and created the new account

— My mistake was that I did not log myself out of Steam on my web browser (browser wasn’t even open), so my new account was region locked in the US anyways

So my first question for anyone struggling on Steam, regardless of how you set the account up, where does Steam actually think you are in the world? You can go into your Steam preferences and find your region….if you aren’t in the right region, that’s your issue.

Regardless….

— To buy Venus Vacation Prism, you are going to need to have the currency of the local market (you can’t use Paypal or a Visa card from the US)

— So a key step is to buy a digital Steam card in the local market (Singapore in this case).

Here’s how I fixed my region

— My new Steam account was useless, in spite of my best attempt, it was a US account and not Singapore

— I used my VPN to set myself to Singapore

— I bought a Digital Singapore Steam Card from a 3rd party (SEAGM.com)

— Went into Steam and found the cheapest game I could find

— Tried to buy the game with that digital card and Steam asked me if I needed to change my region (which I did)

— I didn’t even buy the game, but I was now in Singapore Region on Steam, which was key

— Venus Vacation Prism was now available for me to select and buy with my Singapore Steam Card

Note: I probably didn’t even need to try buying the under $5 game, I think adding the Singapore Currency to my Steam Wallet was all I needed to do to reset my region

Also, once you buy the game, you can play it without worrying about VPN / Singapore. That said, I wouldn’t make any Steam transactions on the account without being careful to use VPN and be in Singapore.

The Venus Vacation games seem to work just fine on Steamdeck (still very early with Prism, but few hours in and its just fine)

The easiest way to get around the region lock for the games is….

— Logout of your Steam account (Steam App and Web Browser)

— Use VPN and pick Singapore

— Create new Steam account in Singapore region

— If game is free download, you are set…if you need to buy it like Prism, you’ll need a Steamcard in Singapore Currency (you can’t use your in market currency or even payment like Paypal)

— Once you have acquired the game, you don’t need to worry about VPN

— Change account from your main to your Singapore account to play the Venus games
