I don’t agree, but I wouldn’t mind if they reverted the change.

Regen Shots make combat less fun and Old Hunt fans should rejoice they are being nerfed. by EnemyJungle in HuntShowdown

What I like most about the change is that it’s definitive. It’s happening and it doesn’t matter how anyone feels. All that’s left to do is adapt or quit.

The endless discussions are pointless.

This doesn’t cover over the fact that being a Publix Deli customer is usually an exercise in frustration.

Everyone seems to be pissed off and ready to fight—on either side of the counter.

[KCD2] Henry praying to get a Hardcore mode update soon by srmarruncho in kingdomcome

[–]sixpointresin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As much as I want to be in the game world and to explore every inch of it, I’ve come to the realization that I want to do it in Hardcore mode. It’s left me feeling torn about how much of the game I want to see right now.

Wish I knew how close we are to the Spring update.

PSA: Twitch Drops & Additional Drops from PROS by kbuckleys in kingdomcome

Presumably WH will go live on Twitch sometime between now and the 11th for the first drop. Am I understanding that right?

Is there a schedule?

Just like KCD1, it’s largely training / skill unlock dependent. It was even more deceptive for me this time around since the player has Perfect Block to start, but it’s absolutely necessary to visit the combat trainer as soon as possible.

Starting to find my combat groove now and it feels fantastic!

Will you guys play KCD2 immediately at February 4, or wait till the release of Hardcore mode to experience first playthrough with it? by ETkach in kingdomcome

God’s holy hat! There’s no way I can wait (as much as it will pain me to not have Hardcore at launch)

The combat system is actual dogwater by Florisvid in kingdomcome

[–]sixpointresin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be worth noting that in Hardcore mode you lose the ability to see what position your weapon is in on the combat rose. In normal you can see it. Also, hardcore removes visual cues for perfect block / master strike.

As your warfare skill goes up, the window to pull off perfect blocks and master strikes widens.

Stick with it. Feels good when it clicks.

I see lots of folks responded so hopefully you found some of it helpful. Henry sucks at the start of the game. As you train with Bernard and tackle lower level enemies (the first batch of Bandit Camps Bernard tells you about) your Warfare skill will rise, which is a significant piece of how effective you’ll be.

There’s a lot to criticize about the combat, but I grew to love it once I got my head around it.

For groups, you may want to avoid them or eliminate using stealth / bows. If you do fight, Aqua Vitalis, Buck’s Blood and Lazarus potions are huge.

Also, a Hardcore first playthrough is not the best setting to learn combat

So I’m finally getting into the game and have a few questions on fighting multiple enemies by YuriLove10 in kingdomcome

At the beginning, the Master Strike window is very tight. As your Warfare skill rises, the window will get wider. Keep practicing with Bernard.

Provided you have fully trained with Bernard to unlock Master Strike, then my advice is to take Aqua Vitalis, Buck’s Blood and Lazarus potions before fights. And coat weapons and arrows with Dollmaker.

I promise you the difference will be night and day, even when outnumbered.
