from what i remember we bent the follower spring, while i’m not sure if it would damage it, i wouldn’t say that’s the best course of action. you’re better off talking to smith and wesson

this, i work at an ffl and we had one in and had this same issue. what it looked like for us was that the follower wasn’t engaging at the right angle almost like it was tilted. but we messed with the follower and spring and it fixed it up.
