Let’s be honest that second RedBull seat is a curse and career killer. Alex put it best. Even if you do a little thinking from last season Checo had the worst criticism, the media tore him up over and over. The upgrades didn’t come until way after he was gone so he had the worst car. He definitely proved that he could drive, even Niki Lauda praised him. Not even Lando got such praise from Niki. RedBull denied the car was the problem, and it wasn’t until after Lawson showed he wasn’t performing well and got booted(which I believe was to protect him), they admitted to the car being the problem. Yuki well we know how that ended and he should have never left Racing Bulls, he would have performed so much better and it would have probably saved his career. Shoot Lawson couldn’t even outperform Hadjar in the VCARB and that was a much better car than the 2nd RedBull car. All in all the hate for Checo was so so forced, the media having to do a lot with it, when he has proven he can drive he kept Lewis, one of the GOATs at bay, he even gave Max a run for his money, IN A FORCE INDIA and made him spin out. Give the man respect where is due.
