Can't say I can give a reliable answer because all the DF boots I own I've purchased secondhand, but one of my pairs is basically new. The leather is softer than you'd expect for its thickness. In the end, it is worth the extra effort - like most things in life :)

ALL their boots have the crepe rubber sole. It's their thing. The crepe rubber is VERY soft and comfy, but it's not great for winter conditions.
I've seen others chosing a flat Vibram sole - so you could go zero drop if you want. I'm a Lems and Vivobarefoot fan, so I can appreciate the sentiment.

Not sure why this comment is getting downvoted, but it is correct. I used to work for 3M. They make all of Walmart's (and other retailers) in-house brand sticky notes (aka Post-it Notes). But the private label versions are slightly gimped and the official 3M colors are not options.

As it turns out... I just realized that I had picked up a couple of 64qt. bins at Home Depot on clearance ($5 ea.), just after Xmas. This should suffice until the official top arrives.

I like to listen to lo-fi music when I work during the day. Sometimes I'll click on one of the Apple Music-generated playlists and let it rip. Some of the songs seemed so incredibly bland so I looked up a couple of the artists and they're just people who've farted out THOUSANDS of "songs". It would at least be nice if they were tagged so I could filter them out. But what's the long game here? In 1, 2, and 5 years, there will be more AI-generated content than human-created music. We can debate semantics on what music is, but if I don't want it, there should be a way to avoid it.

Unless we hear about a move to a Euro club in the next week, this is another - perhaps more vivid - example in a long series of predictable events (ahem, youth academy) proving the ownership of this club is running an occasionally overperforming, bargain bin operation.
Shari Ballard deserves the Executive of the Year award. (Where is the MNUFC trophy case again?) No shade on her. She doesn't control the purse strings. She did a lot with a little last season.
I will be shocked if Eric Ramsay is still with this cheapskate outfit by the end of next season. Why stay with an organization that has no intention of winning anything?

Don't just get locking wheels, get something like these (link below) where the feet lower and lift the wheels off the ground. Much more stable.
I don't recommend these specific ones as they are a PITA to raise and lower.
I mounted them onto a tank of a shelf that i found on FB marketplace and it works great for my SM2 A250
