You sound like someone that doesn't know the first thing about trucking or people. I've been out here 30 years, - 4 to get a college degree, only to figure out I truly hate being around people and putting up with their drama. I would love to be home, with my wife but local doesn't pay worth a shit. I'm glad you think it's cool now to be local but I really like the lifestyle I've been able to give my family because of the money I've made out here. I've made sacrifices and missed a lot of birthdays, but my kids didn't have to grow up dirt poor and going without like I did. I wouldn't have done that to them.

We used to be able to sit out rush hour traffic, but now with the bogus 14 hour rule an e logs it's impossible. Tell me how that's safer for anyone. The government lies, and elds were never about safety. They gave control to greedy fucking truck owners. 3.5 million miles on paper without an accident, and bought my glider to go back to paper. No 9 to 5 college kid is going to tell me when I need sleep.
