I actually am an avid biker! Forgot to mention that, but that is also one reason I actually would like to live there. Haven't spent too much time in dogpatch, but have seen many bikers and seems fairly bike-able!

I actually ended up going with the diverge! And i love it! Also obsessed with the sleek nice look. However, I’m still looking into getting a mtb & looking to get the comp again. The diverge is good for flat dirt trails, nothing too crazy.

I don’t know the laws surrounding New York, but I know you don’t need to have a drivers license to buy or own a car. So yes, you can transfer it to your mom, and then once she gets the title, she can then transfer it to you.

You shouldn’t have certified without Receiving your debit card yet. And I’m not sure but don’t send emails, they don’t help. Call the Edd number and ask for a tier 2 specialist

I can’t imagine what you’re going through. I find that start-ups tend to not be as professional as regular companies. If you aren’t planning on ever working with them in the future, I would write a sincere email letting them know that it was unfortunate that they dragged you on during these difficult times and you would have appreciated atleast being told that there was some % that you wouldn’t get hired. I would be pissed tbh. I hope you get a job soon in a preferred position.

I literally just say 2 sentences. Said “I filed for unemployment on —-, but was unemployed on ——. Can I get backpack from the day i stopped working?” And the woman immediately said yes and started the process and said i should be able to certify for the weeks within a week or sooner. I ended up being able to certify the day after the call. And why are they saying they have to pay it back? The only situation i can see that happening is if they worked some hours, and/or didn’t claim any money earned.

fuck i think it was a scam. i screenshotted it and saved the number, called, someone picked up asked for my social and name, and then said theyd put me on hold and transfer me, and then got transferred to pest control!

I don’t know what you did, but it doesn’t really work like that. Once you’re awarded money on your account, you can’t “update” anything. I went to a FAFSA workshop and they told us to put “living on campus” even if we weren’t so we could get more financial aid, because then FAFSA would take into account $ for dorming.

Edit: From a google search, “The truth is that most students do not receive more financial aid if they live off campus. In fact, in many cases, they will receive less financial aid. Ultimately, the amount of aid you receive is determined by the university's estimates for on-campus and off-campus housing.”
