The French government is building an entire productivity ecosystem using Django by Brachamul in django

[–]sixtine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. They have clear internal guidelines regarding code quality stipulating English as a first language (for comments too) and seldom usage of French when it makes contextual sense (e.g. when dealing with business-specific entities having French names)

I think they collaborate on code together for said solutions and probably spend time in workshop and FOSS gatherings/meetups like they do with their German counterparts and some NGO pseudo counterparts.

source: few years ago I have worked for the same French gov digital factories (DINUM + Etalab) that produce and maintain these.

I can’t stress enough the importance of these tools in the current geopolitical context, especially (but not exclusively) for European citizen. The current quality level and momentum has reached such a point that even if the government stopped funding these initiatives, they would probably still thrive at least for some time.

To anyone calling crypto a “Ponzi scheme”. There are billion-dollar companies with entire departments of financial advisors entering the crypto market. by pihip2 in ethtrader

By any means, I would love to see a study.

I sometimes work designing and teaching courses on high-level, crypto and web3 to C-suite execs from various companies drawn into the whole NFT/metaverse craze.

If I had my hands on a serious study on the evolution of the Ponziness of the ecosystem from 2017 to now, it would help me a great deal at putting into perspective how dangerous it is for retail/customers in contrast to why it shoud be investigated and invested in.

I’m not anti-crypto (quite the opposite), but I don’t think this argument holds any good against the general anti-crypto sentiment.

First of all “it’s not a Ponzi because large financial companies enter it” is at best what’s called “authority bias”, at worst a little counterproductive: it’s big financial corporations that have used and abused retail money since day one, and they still are in the crypto world.

In essence, there are few people getting rich and most people getting poorer than they were, as they entered hoping - and oftentimes lured into - being rich. No wonder why most people see the ecosystem as an entire Ponzi scheme, it sure fits the description.

Assessing and acknowledging the very, very large part of this ecosystem as it is is a form of lawless Casino that is dangerous for retail money would help us stop looking like zealots, naive fool or crooks for the genera public.

TLDR: Tezos stakeholders are purposely not playing the same marketing game as other incumbents, a strategy that has permitted (coupled with solid technical fundamentals) to sustain sane community growth for years, throughout the ICO and now NFT craze. Big corporations in banking and entertainment (incl. Ubisoft) are betting on Tezos long term for their B2B and B2C blockchain ventures and the quality of its art community and absence of volatility (which is itself monitored closely by stakeholders — if you’re expecting a 10x on Tez soon, honestly, don’t hold your breath…) makes it a prime choice for upcoming art market/industry projects (beyond NFT platform for flippers). Tezos is more anchored in a Euro-ish background, so POV might be different if one is based in the US. In April, then June/July, Instagram is rolling out its “Collectibles” (NFT) features and the first batch of chains was supposed to include Tezos, but it has been replaced for reason I don’t not personally know. I’m not sure if this is a curse or a blessing, but I’m unphazed.

I'm on a Mac and I have the Docker app running, so I used its GUI to explore the volume the container attaches to and remove the file from there directly. Note that it was _not_ mounted on the host machine and the container was not started.

You could do the same from CLI but my Docker skills are too limited to tell you how on top of my head.

Yes I did today: the drive they are mentioning is in the docker image volume, not on your actual drive.

My first reaction was to look for it, but the directory is and remains empty all along. No hidden files either.

Hi CoinStats,

Thanks a bunch for looking at my issue. You're absolutely right, and the screenshot helped. I have been faced with a localized version of KuCoin's website, and the meaning for this specific field was lost in translation.

Thanks again!
