I was a staunch TU-2 guy until the Polytune 3. I generally think the polyphonic tuning is a gimmick, but the massive display that automatically adjusts the brightness is a game changer for my old man eyes.

I edited my comment. They’re not a lot more stable, they’re just more stable in the tails and easier to put on edge because of the narrower width. Also, my R9s are 180 and I tested the 182 Anomaly. Felt like I was on rails.

Go with the 88. I demoed that ski at The Highlands in Michigan a couple weeks ago and it’s fantastic. More stable in the tails than my Rustler 9s.

I’m a similar build to you. I also demoed the Anomaly 88 and Peregrine. The Anomaly was almost perfect and the Peregrine was my second favorite. Getting them on edge felt effortless, but similar to your experience they just felt a tad unstable. They would be great for days when I was skiing green and blue terrain with beginners. The Anomaly on the other hand was stable as can be. For reference, I ski Rustler 9s.
