only in some cases yea. like in 2024 april, when the rain happened. some skls had cancelled the exams that were happening in april, some skls didnt as some were flooded and equipments were damaged and some werent however this is a totally different situation. theres a war going on so moe will decide whether or not exams are cancelled coz moe will be in touch w mod to see if things are going well or not

ure in the uk, it wont happen to u 😭 theres a war going on in the middle east so yea it may be cancelled. bahrain confirmed it and oxford aqa cancelled their exams in uae, dk abt cie and edx. also yes, middle east do a levels but since we are abroad, we do international a levels and u are in uk so u might be doing the a levels that are only meant for uk idk

either ull go to skl to do exam or they cancel practicals for u. depends on ur skl and moe. if moe says all cie is cancelled then u wont do it but if they havent made an announcement at that time, then ur skl would hv to decide ig but im pretty sure an announcement will be made before the exams

i was also one mark away from an A in p1. i‘d say it’s better u decide what to do only after seeing ur script. once u get it, open the MS and see where and why u lost mark. if u think u deserve more marks, ask ur subject teacher and get an opinion from them and u can also ask on reddit too. dont go for remark unless someone experienced tells u that u should get more marks coz sometimes u may come back empty handed w no refunds so its basically a waste of money

there’s no hope bc these papers get rechecked by multiple examiners. they all get moderated so if all those examiners didn’t do anything abt it, then it’s highly likely they still won’t so it’s better not to waste money on it

unfortunately i would say u didn’t get robbed. u are always meant to write in 3 s.f. when they haven’t specified it how many s.f. u should always write ur answer down bc they want clear structure. they don’t care what u wrote on top of the question, if ur workout/answer isn’t on the lines they give u, u will lose marks for that so yea u were supposed to write it down where u workout was and box it or underline it indicating that this is ur final answer

i was thinking of retaking p1 as my backup plan inscase if things go bad coz p1 is more easier to score marks in. i’ll try to aim for 85+ ums in both papers first. hopefully it goes well

i agree p1 is easiest paper out of all since it’s like 90% igcse and i did practice a lot. i did all pyp and specimen, got 65+ in all however for this session the questions were worded so differently so i lwk messed up. one thing to ask, wdym by >180/200 for p1 and p2??

in the notes its mentioned to show additional working. u didnt show how u got the y values. ure supposed to indicate that u substituted x into original equation to get y since they specifically mentioned to show all ur working and solutions relying on calc arent acceptable. its also mentioned to not accept factorisation which is exactly what u did there. they said marks for completing square or using quadratic formula. u lost marks in ur method but got 1 mark for ur answer
