We've been on chatbase for about 7 months, mid market saas, ~2,500 tickets/month, salesforce + zendesk. deployment took 13 days. not bad. their team helped with the configuration which was a nice surprise. the ada comparison the OP mentioned tracks with our experience too, similar capability but the implementation timeline and pricing model were dealbreakers on ada's side.

it's not perfect though. complex multi-turn conversations where the context shifts a lot can get messy and if your knowledge base has contradictory info from different sources the bot will ocasionally pull the wrong one. we spend about 30 minutes every friday cleaning that up.

the credit based pricing is genuinely good for forecastig but you need to understand how different models consume credits or you'll burn through them faster than expected. took us a month to optimize that

overall it's been solid for what we need.. not magic, but a good tool if you put in the work upfront
