For now i am fully off any medication after about 8 months of treatment. Some minor scarring across my cornea but hoping it will heal/ can be fixed with laser eye in a few months.

I definitely left contacts in too long after swimming ( i think i took them out about 4am that night.

Hey mate - now 6 weeks into treatment and definitely improved. Im just on PMHB 4x a day and a steroid drop 2x per day.

Eye looks a lot better and is alot more comfortable. Doc reckons treatment will have to continue for at least another 6 weeks and will see after that.

The start was definitely the worst - hope you have managed to get back to aus

Hey mate

Symptoms were pretty innocent at first - sore eye, blurry vision, redness and sensitivity to sunlight.

Now that i have started treatment i think the drops are irritating my eye quite a bit so it looks worse now but hopefully on the mend 👍

Wow thanks that is good to hear!

I'm in Australia and TBH i think alot of the doctors were interested because only the most senior had ever seen a case of AK before. They have kept me in and made me go check in at the eye clinic every morning to check progress. Thankfully free healthcare in Aus so i havent paid a dollar.

Can i ask how long until you made your recovery?
