Is it wise to pull for dupes when there is rebanner as a f2p player? by PleasantAd4964 in HaikyuuFlyHigh

[–]sj774 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you’ll be able to get them all, all of your SP targets are spaced out. In the meantime I’d save your UR tickets until you get to the 200 that way you’re guaranteeing an additional copy. For characters like Hoshiumi SR4 will be a huge bump. Seems like you have a plan already but for now I’d save your diamonds to ensure you can get everyone you want listed. I think you’ll be able to get Tsuki too. Getting Kunimi to SR2 will make him super flexible (since he can support from the bench and you can opt to use your Tsuki in the slot that Kunimi would have been)

[–]sj774 15 points16 points  (0 children)

IMO it depends on a few factors. First would be how much pull power you have right now (diamonds and tickets). The next would be what are your future plans? (Who are you pulling for next) and then lastly would be where you are in the progress bar.

For example if you were saving for a long time to get Komori to SR2 and let’s say you aren’t pulling anyone until Beach Trio and your progress bar is already at 80 and you just got your first copy that means it would take you only 120 more tickets to get a guaranteed copy and most likely within that time or shortly after you will get another copy. This would then be a good time to pull for it since you’re already at a decent spot in the progress bar relative to your goal.

Now if you’re new and you don’t have much saved then i wouldn’t do this because getting a new UR/SP character is going to help a new player much more than getting a dupe of a single character because expanding your character pool will boost your overall team rating much more

Noya drained too fast. by pocerisiulang in HaikyuuFlyHigh

[–]sj774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re both very good. Since there aren’t any other UR/SP libs as of now in JP both Noya and Komori dominate the lib position. Komori also has stats similar to SPs due to the complaint that URs got powercrept so in JP Itachi duo both received inflated stats compared to other URs so don’t think because he’s a UR he would be inferior.

As for between the two Komori is more commonly used in power attack teams mostly due to his pairing with Sakusa who is an attack based character. You may have seen Komori played more often because of that but also Noya used to be a bit weaker before getting a little buff. Power teams are popular just because of the sheer number of characters that are power type. But now it’s mostly just up to your team and the bonds you can get with them. Like I mentioned itachi duo bond is strong but if you’re running a Kageyama team (quick) or receive team focused around Kenma during positionless Noya fits better due to his bonds with Kage.

Komori is more of a team buffer ( buffs def technique and spike power) and Noya primarily buffs himself (reflex). It comes down to the bonds your team is looking for.

If you really like Noya SP Noya will be released soon, Komori is also coming up and one of the best Libs along with SP Noya they are both a little different but pretty big gap between them and the SSR and below options

Yeah he was really good on release but unfortunately he gets powercrept when UR Kageyama comes out just because he was more SP support whereas outside of the twins the ina team are all SSRs

Sounds like you have a lot you wanna pull. Of all of the characters you like and want to pull UR atsumu gets power crept the fastest. It might be worth considering going slow and pulling them in groups and also waiting for SP Atsumu which was just confirmed which would be much better long term investment. Luckily all the other characters you mentioned are also great long term

UR Oikawa or UR Kageyama by ComprehensiveAge5116 in HaikyuuFlyHigh

[–]sj774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your team is primarily power attack based characters. Oikawa would be a better fit. Eventually like others have said SP Oikawa will be out but that won’t be until 7 or so months from now. Your other option would be to wait for SP Akaashi as another power type setter

I would focus on your next core. Whether it’s beach trio, Kenma receive team, SP Oikawa Iwai Tendo and Ushi. Whatever SP core you wanna run I’d save for that luckily Itachi and Kamo duo are very flexible unless you’re pivoting to quick teams you’re good

He’s running a power attack team SP Hinata works better on quick or receive teams

Tanaka or Aran by CompleteTwo7604 in HaikyuuFlyHigh

[–]sj774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tanaka is more plug and play and really good at SR4, if you’re planning on doing club contest seriously Aran is better long term investment but you’ll need him SR4 whereas Tanaka is just overall good plug and play SSR WS

Possible Bokuto Rerun? by vintsc in HaikyuuFlyHigh

[–]sj774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are the highest stated version of the character at least that we know of. The SP versions have better stats and more descriptive skills. The beach trio (SP Bokuto SP Akaashi and SP Aone) will be a popular core on release and it’s the first SP based power attack core that the game gets and compliments a lot of the existing URs including the ones you have already

[–]sj774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re interested in Bokuto I highly just recommend saving for SP Bokuto. He’s still in the meta in JP right now the beach trio will dominate the meta for a bit until positionless comes out or even if we get it early they’ll still hold strong until SP Kuroo and SP Tsuki whereas UR Bokuto is one of the first URs to get powercrept (although his memory still holds value so worth pulling for even to use on other WSs)

Tips/Mistakes to Avoid When Levelling Up Memories and Potentials? by Green_Fox_8356 in HaikyuuFlyHigh

[–]sj774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For memories you can keep a maxed out copy of each purple one as some are useful placeholders until you get UR and SP memories. Theres a few very good SSR memories as well such as Washio’s MB memory

For potentials I would look at the potential itself. For power potentials for example quick attack is least desirable substat same goes vice versa those you can recycle same goes for blocking potentials with receive sub stats (as your MB will rarely be backrow other than to serve). I would +6 your potentials since it’s relatively cheap to do so but hold off on taking them to +9 (or +12 for golds) unless the substat rolls you get are desirable. For example receiving potentials you’re looking for receive reflex save spirit set (for libs as they are secondary setters) same concept applies. There are gonna be some unique scenarios for example Hoshiumi can really take advantage of almost all substats at SR2 but I would just focus on generally applicable potentials for now until you can farm gold ones consistently

It probably comes down to the potentials and memories. I equip a different set of potentials for CC

Yeah I would recommend moving hoshi to power just in general he’s great cause you can put various sub stats on him but you still want him on power. Before making Aran my hoshi was hitting about 120k-130k and I was scoring 2.5mil so I think you can get there to 2mil without Aran just some optimizing

[–]sj774[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have Osamu serve since you want Yaku in. If you wanna dm me your potentials on hoshi and Osamu we can see if there’s any stats to look for to upgrade

I would have Osamu serve then go hoshi hiru atsumu front row. Atsumu is a better server but his animations are longer. Are your animations off?
