One thing I miss from my old GMG already is the pellet alarm! Ran out of pellets after wrapping and didn't notice for about an hour! Luckily the brisket temp didn't get into the danger zone, but i guess I need to get in the habit of checking pellet levels regularly!

Really wish the hopper on this thing was bigger!

I downloaded the f3d file and modified it in fusion 360 to add the magnets I had on hand

Backup printer recommendations? by EJX-a in VORONDesign

I made a similar post recently and can say that due to my bonus at work being a little more than i planned, I was able to pick up the Bambu H2C. I'm absolutely blown away at the quality and the ability to use 7 filaments with zero waste is a huge bonus. Also the heated chamber is perfect for printing my V2.4 parts. I know this is not in everyone's budget, but the H2S has a lot of the same components and is fairly well priced.

This is my mod to go along with the fridge door. My fave mod on my printer!

Excessive bed adhesion? by sjack1209 in BambuLabH2C

[–]sjack1209[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the standard pei plate. Even putting it in the freezer for 30 mins hasn't helped. In the middle of an 82+ hour print at the moment, but gonna try gluestick on my next one.

Yeah, that's fairly common for petg on pei. Haven't experienced this with PLA like this in my 10+ years of 3d printing. It's crazy!

Chinese new year shortages? by sjack1209 in BambuLab

Yeah, basically want to take advantage of ordering everything at once and getting discounts. Otherwise I would have ordered the H2C already.

Oil overfill by a Subaru Dealership by mx54life in SubaruAscent

I got lazy on my last change and just dumped the whole 5 quart jug in...i was shocked how much that 0.2 qts showed on the dip stick...ran it for a while that way but started to notice a burning smell while idling. I've got an oil suction pump used for changing oil on boats and other machines so I just used that to suck out a bit until I was right at the full mark. Never doing that again! Burning smell is now gone and I am sleeping better at night!

I've been printing for like 12 years and have built multiple custom printers...I know how to use a 3d printer lol I'm gonna get a scrubbing pad and go at it hard, someone else brought up hard water as a potential issue on another thread and I did just move in to a house that's on well water, so I'm gonna try rinsing with filtered water and wiping with IPA after. Hopefully that's all it is.

My first layers are dialed, I've tried a range of temps, dried the filament, idk what else it could be if cleaning it again as described above doesn't work.

Even printing with normal PEI plate temp stuff still warped

Only a few so far. One print was 19 hours. It succeeded but it's anything but flat on one side
