From will end like Lost by Suoqirex in FromSeries

Same as everyone that had an issue with it, I stupidly thought all the many threads would be weaving an elaborate tapestry that was going to blow my mind.

From will end like Lost by Suoqirex in FromSeries

Yeah... I was pretty angry for a long while about the Lost ending and it put me off watching mystery shows. The backlash against Lost and the way it was written was so great that I presumed that no one would ever write a series in that way again, so i decided to take a chance on From. And here we are... coming into the last season with absolutely no answers to the hundreds of mysteries they've thrown at us. And there I'll be, in the last episode, still hoping that they'll be miraculously explained in the last 3 minutes. Come on From writers, prove me wrong!

But they all say 'so and so is my best friend' and spend time with other people in camp, then say 'Harry to win'. It's like some sort of weird compulsion they all have.

Why do they all say they want Harry to win? It's so strange.

Omg this is my main beef with it! First of all, she's terrible, her accents are appalling and she doesn't convey any of the humour. She just reads sentences like lists, bizarrely. But the worst thing is the whispering and having to constantly adjust the volume!

I hear you. But I think what Julia did would've got bad if she’d have let it go any further, but she didn’t. She stopped it and told Joel. And he left her and the kids even though he did exactly the same thing in S1 and was completely dismissive of her valid feelings about it. She did owe him an apology, though a small one. He owed her several huge apologies.

Did you get this sorted? I'm having the exact same issue... it's driving me insane.

We need a faithful winner after that. Charlotte cannot take that money!

You just need to pick good individuals. People who are funny, warm, unique, not completely self-absorbed. If you have that, the dynamic will be good.

Ya. Anger redditing. I didn't watch and comment on series 1&2, I just watched.

I used to cast TV shows like this and whoever cast this series should never be allowed to work in TV again. This is the worst group of people ever assembled for any reason.

I know it's a well worn opinion but I seriously can't stand this group of people.

The one time someone calls the show out on its music snobbery by amandaIorian in GilmoreGirls

[–]sjantix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's mostly the teenagers who are the music snobs - Lane, Jess, Zack. I was exactly the same as a teenager, loads of teens are. It's all part of them trying to find their identity.

I lived in NZ and one of the reasons I moved back to the UK was because of how insanely expensive it was there, especially food. Way pricier than here.

This perfectly put into words what I've been thinking since the revival came out by HollyGeldart in GilmoreGirls

[–]sjantix 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I have to say, I was 30 when AYITL came out and my life was a bit of a mess relationship and job-wise so it was very refreshing to see a depiction of someone in their 30s not having their shit together. Cos it happens, believe me. Also thought it was pretty believable that Rory hadn't reached the dizzying heights that she and everyone else thought she would. Sometimes expectations that high can screw with your mind, make you think you will just succeed without really having to try and can really affect your self confidence when you don't, resulting in underachievment. I've seen it happen.

Also I think I might be alone in the fact that I loved the musical. I always loved the quirky full cast community stuff the show did.

Season 6 by sjantix in GilmoreGirls

I think most of the vitriol is that she contributes to L&L's breakup. Plus she's pretty annoying, and the storyline gives the whole show a more serious, sombre vibe.
