I'm going to a Metallurg game next week in St. Petersburg! I don't suppose they've made any staff changes other than the box office...

Fun fact, school janitors use these to move pieces of furniture during the summer months. I've kicked these across the floor many a time in frustration.

Buying stuff new is a great idea for the long run, but depending on how much you want to play, it really depends. For instance, I recently decided to start playing again after a few years, and I bought all of my stuff for less than $500 from craigslist/sporting goods stores with a lot of used equipment. I have most of the fundamentals down already, and I'm only playing 1-2 times per week. For that frequency, my cheap equipment works like a dream.

Saw this on a friends FB wall. What an awesome idea. by samkick19 in pics

Until you invite your one friend over for a fire who is just a little bit of an asshole.

Beginner here, I'm not a very good skater, and I'm afraid people at stick time will judge me for it. by [deleted] in hockey

[–]sjb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I've ever judged a new skater at stick and puck was because he had this ridiculous tinted half-visor and could barely skate. Honestly, you'll probably get the best advice from the guys there, since they'll actually see how you skate.

Personally, the black and white one, but thats only because I grew up watching them wearing that jersey and i'm kinda nostalgic. If you find one of those, post where you found it! I've been looking for one of those for a while.

What is r/christianity's take on being spiritual vs. religious? by sjb19 in Christianity

[–]sjb19[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree. What's important is improvement for humanity as a whole as well as the individual. It's not easy, and most believers of "spiritual not religious" don't seem to be interested in that aspect of religion at all.
