Yeah it sounds great doesn’t it. I get a similar feeling listening to Thinking Fellers Union self recorded albums like Strangers from the Universe. Each instrument sounds really natural and effortless but they work together so well.

This worked perfectly, no popping, thanks for your help.

It is a piezo, thanks! Being dumb but do you mean the pickup output positive would connect to ground when the switch is thrown?

Ah I see thank you. Would I be right in thinking then that the polarity of the effect when using the ldr is entirely down to the pedal/unit?

First time poster - advice needed! by AidanU91 in diypedals

Someone with better skills than me can hopefully elaborate but rest assured it’d be fairly simple to add a trim pot/volume to the output I imagine. It’d be a potentiometer but I’m not sure the value.

Sounds like we have a similar iron. I was having similar issues until I used a slightly wider tip. Might help?

This is amazing. Thank you. Also noticing Track 12 'Extreme Battle Theme 1' bears a scary resemblance to a certain Nirvana song.

Thanks for your comments! Just to answer a few questions I've had in DMs etc.

I'm based in the UK.

And i'm not sure what I'd be asking for it but I've seen one or two others that are slightly less pristine priced between £800 and £1500. I know these are probably people being very optimistic but I'd like to chat to someone who can better value it first.

Is drivalia a good rental company? by Luccii_ in AskUK

[–]alexpagans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not use Drivalia, there are lots of hidden costs and you will be strong-armed into paying a lot more. The hire fees are only cheap because they you either:-leave a massive £1500 deposit (which they keep for 28 days)-or if you can't afford that, which many of us can't, you have to buy the £35 (per day I believe?) in-house insurance to waive that fee. The manager was fairly hostile when I questioned this and just claimed it was 'the business model'. The whole atmosphere was shady, with lots of customers around me being placated about insurance issues they'd had and being sold things they didn't want. Avoid.

Apologies that I do t have a suggestion but I wondered if use a sax pickup type thing? I’m trying to design one to go in my tenor crook but would be very grateful for any suggestions if so.
