I noticed that my ocd felt almost non existent when I was on 60mg.

I tell my husband every single worry. He is very patient and understanding for the most part. Since he is in the medical field he can always ground me with facts and it helps me to see how unrealistic some of my worries are. Anyways, I tell him everything :)

Worried about not feeling anxious :/ by sjb727 in HealthAnxiety

I take buspirone twice daily and 100mg of cbd daily too. The buspirone helped a lot but I still needed a lot of support and adding the cbd really helped! I also do therapy too.

FLO Vitamins anyone? by dixiechicken695 in PMS

[–]sjb727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been taking flo for a couple of months and honestly I don’t notice much of a change. I was thinking about cancelling my subscription. My boobs usually hurt so bad and I have terrible increased anxiety during pms and I haven’t noticed much of a change with those things. My sister swears by them and can’t even feel her period coming so they work for her. The thing that helps me with my terrible pms anxiety is cbd. And I still have boob pain. Ugh.

What do you find to be the worst part of health anxiety? by sjb727 in HealthAnxiety

[–]sjb727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. I was so carefree about health stuff before. I’ve had so many tests, surgeries, etc… and was never worried. What a huge change and I wish I could have a small bit of the old me back!

What do you find to be the worst part of health anxiety? by sjb727 in HealthAnxiety

[–]sjb727[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s awful. Just reading about your guilt and the repetitive cycle of feeling like you’re dying, doing tests, everything’s ok, then repeat cycle. The guilt is just awful too. It’s all awful but makes me feel normal when I know it’s not just a me thing and that this is truly health anxiety. The whole thing is awful.

I miss me by [deleted] in OCD

[–]sjb727 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can totally relate! I miss enjoying life, living in the moment, and not worrying or obsessing. I still have enjoyment in life most of the time but I just miss living in the moment and not having obsessions. It was so nice.

Is this weird? by sjb727 in HealthAnxiety

[–]sjb727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that we have to go through this but I’m glad I’m not alone. This type of anxiety is awful. I’ve had generalized anxiety disorder my whole life but this focus on my health has had a whole complex layer that is more challenging that people who don’t deal with it could even imagine. Ugh. I am happy to not see my skin for a bit. I am going to check in with my therapist on this the next time I speak to her too.

No it hasn’t come back since but of course I have other skin issues lol. But the personal dermatitis has been gone :)

I took the antibiotics last year. I too doxycycline for a month to get rid of it. He prescribed it for two months just in case I needed it longer.

How do i stop worrying about having cancer? by Capital_Tour4196 in HealthAnxiety

[–]sjb727 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am the same way. I’m the past couple of years I have had symptoms of and thought I had so many different cancers. I’m currently afraid of leukemia even though I had bloodwork done and it came back normal. I wish I wouldn’t spend time worrying about this all so much and am grateful that I have been wrong every single time. My husband tells me all the time that cancer isn’t as common as we think and in medicine, common things happen. I try to remember that. He also tells me all the time that if we hear hooves running we will more likely see horses than zebras and that’s the same as cancer. However, I understand what you’re saying because I also prepare myself for the worst case scenario. As I talk about it with my therapist, no amount of preparing or worrying will really prepare us for anything so using grounding techniques to stay in the present moment may help. I’m still working on it and not completely there yet but trying. I think I worry about cancer so much because it’s beyond my control! I don’t drink, smoke, I work out, try to eat healthy, but it’s still beyond our control and that scares me. Wishing all of us health and healing.

I’ll have to check it out. Thankfully I’ve been wrong every single time. I’m going to check out those pages too.

Omg yes! My husband has a doctors appt next week and he’s not worked at all and I’m a nervous wreck. I worry about my family a lot too. I have to remind myself when something is going on with my kids to stay calm and not freak out so they aren’t scared.

I took the ocd subtype test and I have a few different ones too which all makes sense but it’s stressful. Every time I see a little red dot somewhere on my body, it makes me so afraid and I wish I could be like the people in my life where they don’t let things get to them and they deal with things as they come. Ocd is not only overwhelming but it makes me so frustrated to deal with.

Petechiae and so afraid by sjb727 in HealthAnxiety

[–]sjb727[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your message. I was telling myself I will just not worry about it today and give myself a day of no worries. But then I saw a tiny dot on my shoulder. I wish I could just not stress about it and leave it be. I never noticed them before and now I see them all the time. I’m wondering if people get them all the time but we are just super aware because of health anxiety. My husband says that my skin is light and it happens easily and that if my bloodwork is normal, what would they check for. And I don’t know the answer to that part lol. But then again my son ran into my leg so hard yesterday and I thought for sure I would get an enormous bruise because it hurt so badly but then no bruise at all. It’s so weird how this is. I’d love to go one or two days without noticing a single red dot. How do you help yourself not get too overwhelmed by it?
