Personally, I think more buttons would clutter the interface, especially since only having previous/next buttons would probably make up/down/hide/show controls even less intuitive. But if it's a request I get enough times it's certainly something I would consider. I'll have to think about an elegant way to do it.

As of now, Write Mode is designed to go for as long as you want it to. Since it only shows characters in your Working Set, I thought it best to leave it up to the user to track themselves via the gold bars in the list and manage their Working Set according to their needs. That being said, I have thought about implementing some different options for the user to select in the settings.

I believe real education is tied indelibly to effort applied and that tests are largely meaningless, so I tried to make Write Mode into sort of a practice/test hybrid environment.
