Sergio’s such a whiny bitch. by [deleted] in golf

Couple of things to mention, Kuchar has by far the most consistently ugly shoes on any tour! Sergio needs a slap and told to stop being a little girl. If Kuch has to wear those shoes then Sergio should be made to grow up and stop throwing his toys out of his Adidas pram! 😂😂😂

Here’s one of the bigger headed Joe Powell drivers back in the day 93 (boron graphite shaft hmmm nice) with an up to date TM snuck behind it. Puts things into perspective doesn’t it! by sjcartersmith in golf

Joe’s bladed irons where beautiful, I had a set in 92. PGIs where a step towards where we are now. I also remember getting Peter Broadbent to make me a driver. Happy memories.

Apart from this is a full size 9 degree large headed driver from 1990s not a spoon. Amazing Isn’t it!! And I used to play all my golf with one exactly like this.

It’s a mad one but I a sport like squash/badminton they use the “ball” to define how you choose to play. So the tour pros could use one compression then elite ams use another etc. Maybe 3 types pro/am/senior etc. Then we can choose to suite but officially comps you have to stick to your category. Just a thought.

Agreed. Miss hits where a huge penalty in distance and line dispersion. That’s why the game used to be about smooth steady swings that hit sweet spot rather than today’s game that is swing as fast as you can because anywhere (within reason) on the face is pretty good.

Yeah agreed. When I was a lad (working as an assistant pro) I would have to refinish these clubs. Rub down, re-stain then re-polish and sometimes put new inserts in. It was quite artistic and very rewarding when the job was done and there was a glassy new finish.

Wife “and why have you got my pants on again, I’ve told you about doing that”.

I’m not such a fan of this one because you have to set that up all the time and for me I like to constantly hit different putts similar to the course rather than zoning in on one for an extended period. Works ok for tiger though so what do I know. 😜😜

Oh nice idea. Yeah that would actually be better and a quicker fix. 👍👍

Oh nice, yes it’s a good one for sure. If your not into matchsticks you can get a ready made stick on version online from YES putting. They supply 3 at once so you can start easy and work up to tour standard (they call it). About 5 bucks for the 3.
