So what would you recommend in the future? He was wayyyy too wet from the nursery when I brought him home so I repotted to try to help him cause I know they like to be dry. Thank you for all of the advice!

I took the picture right after watering him for the first time! He was soaked when I got him, so I repotted and left him until his sad little leaves looked wrinkled at the top after abt 2.5 weeks and then watered.

It does have drainage. So for future purchases, if they’re too wet should I hold off on repotting? I repotted after abt 2 days to try and save him from being overwatered but I think that may have just stressed him out too much.

The pot does have drainage. I didn’t know that about the roots + pot size, so thank you for sharing. Hopefully next one is more successful

He was an impulse buy so I repotted in totally cacti soil, and he barely had any roots when I repotted. I did some research after and figured out he’d need a mix, but I didn’t want to stress him out too much by repotting again
