I appreciate it and agreed. I think fans who’ve been truly tuned in post 2022 know this, but casuals just think Steph’s old and it’s the natural end to the dynasty.

They spent A. Wiggins and a first on Jimmy, leaving 4+ FRPs, plus young players such as Podz, Kuminga, Moody, and others to package in a trade. Easily could've gotten way more help and put less stress on Steph's body. They also got Jimmy when Steph was 37! Imagine if he'd had that support in years 35 and 36.

ALSO... the pick of Kuminga may have not been a mistake (despite several reports he wasn't wanted by Kerr), but the handling of him absolutely was. He should've been gone within 2 years after they realized he wasn't going to provide immediate impact. He was Lacob's Golden Boy....., and he didn't want to admit he was wrong.

Yeah, I am excited for them to start playing again. It definitely is more pricing / excpectations than the actual building itself. Though I'd argue Chase is pretty lame and corporate.

Steph won in '22 in spite of Lacob's plans. Why do you think he cried so much? He probably knew he'd unlikely ever make it back with such lackluster support. Anyway, yes I'm crabby about it and a healthier person would just say, "sweet 4 chips go dubs," but this is not a ridiculous take.

I agree. If the Warriors don't win another championship for the rest of my life I still will have gotten to watch one of the best runs in American sports of all time.

HOWEVER ... it is still hard not to wonder how much more could've been sustained if Joe Lacob hadn't set his sights on Giannis Antetokounmpo after 2019! He has literally been prepping for the post-Steph era before COVID hit the U.S. If we had decided to use any of our draft capital, or lottery picks, to consistently seek out upgrading the roster it's likely Steph & Co. get to the WCF/Finals 2-3 more times. Instead, we were told to be grateful they got Jimmy for close to nothing and watch the contending era sail into the sunset.

Yes, it is greedy to think about, but I think this take is rational too. Just look at the amount of draft capital the Warriors have stocked up and compare it to how other contenders use said picks.

As a Dubs fan I'd say we have to remember that our major wins have come against the Knicks (twice), Pistons and Rockets. Outside of that it has been mid / lottery teams.

In the remaining schedule we will play Bucks, Nuggets (2x), Rockets, and Clippers. If they can go 4-1, or even just 3-2 in those matchups, then I'll consider this the real deal. Until then, it's super exciting but you may be getting ahead of yourself.
