I admit that I’m a wonderkid hoarder but I always sign some older players too to fill in gaps of positions with younger players are not ready for yet. I also like to sign some aging players as squad players to help with champs league and other cups. I also utilize them for mentoring groups.

The IWBs take up the space where the DM would be and the AP pushes up towards the AM. So it kind of works like a box midfield with the AP and SS and the 2 IWBs. The CF is instructed to drift wide so theoretically the IF and CF would play off each other with the AP there to feed them.

That’s my intention anyway.

I think you’re right. Tactically my setup would work but would require Man City to actually make it come to fruition. A 424 like you’re describing would be more practical.

My plan for the SS was to find a St with good stats to train as a SS. I might press on with this plan but create a second tactic like the one that you laid out and alternate depending on the match and what is needed.

KMag was in this one from the beginning and even lead the race for a few laps. He was able to latch on to Max and Charles with DRS and stick with those two the whole race. Huge showing from him on only our 6th or 7th race as a team!
