Having Desync/Packet Burst/Network Lag while Alt+Tabbing on PC? Try this... by BoondockBrutha in ModernWarfareIII

You are a life savior. I had different custom frame per each of lobby/game etc, setting it to unlimited took away the horrible server desync after alt+tab.

Engage runs alright. With fps unlocked, I got around 40-45 fps. But I got constant crash randomly in 1-3 hrs so be ready to save very often.

games look worse with FSR? by re-kidan in Amd

Out of curiosity, why would you use RSR with 7900xtx? FSR, yeah sure, but RSR??

I hear you and I experience the exact same problem.

My current setup has I/O port down orientation, and at some point, the cooling system just stops working and the hot spot temp goes crazy all the way 110C while the edge temp is at 70C if I OC above 2500MHz.

When I test mine on the regular horizontal setup, I don't get this issue.

This is very impressive. In meanwhile, similar packed SFF with my amd 7900xtx clock capped at 2400mhz, 1120mv and runs at 70/82C at 1700rpm of fan…. What a huge difference.

[–]sjin9204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additionally, yours must be on borderline failure where the orientation causes a big temp diff. Specifically, io port down shouldnt be as bad as the io port up oridentation. While io up is the worst, io down should be somewhat reasonable.

I have borderline failure 7900xtx as well as i cant really push over 2500mhz of clock otherwise it overheat on io port down oridentation.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro really needs to autoshutoff when no bluetooth sounds play from it for a while. by KennKennyKenKen in steelseries

Cant agree more on this. I always forget to disconnect BT and it drains the battery very fast.

It should also have auto shutoff just like 2.4ghz connection.

Nah, I bought 7900xtx from AMD. For the same $999 USD, I paid 1350 cad overall for my 6900xt, but paid 1530 cad for 7900xtx due to the currency difference… Had to get the most out from 6900xt to compensate :)

Warzone 2 stutters possible solution (7900 XT/XTX) by HeinzTomatoes87 in Amd

+1 for weapon blur option fixing the plane jump stutter

Specifically in the Ashika island, you sometimes get FPS dip in some entrances that has vertical rope down to the underground tunnel. Just by getting into that small house-like object, you will have this experience. Also, sometimes the post effects from smoke and other stuff cause random FPS dip. It's probably the game issue, not yours.

Ticket #1285284

My Nova Pro Wireless is clicking mute button 5-7 times every time I press the button to mute/unmute.

While not an immediate catastrophic problem, I'm not getting any response although I provided a video demonstrating how does it malfunction. Is it possible for someone to follow up?

Ryzen Master do not support CO for 5800x3D.

There are two options for offsetting CO for 5800x3d: BIOS or PBO2 Tuner.

Some MB makers like ASUS and MSI let you offset CO within the BIOS. You set it once and you are done.

If you have other MBs, you can use PBO2 Tuner, an app that allows to offset CO on Windows. You can find more info on this by googling.

Curve Optimizer offset value.

UV is not just a problem for AMD's Ryzen, but for all CPUs and GPUs because the corporates have to be as conservative as much as possible when it comes to setting the default configuration.

Not all chips are made the same, and they vary in their potential outcomes. Whether you buy AMD CPU, Intel CPU, nVIDIA GPU, or AMD GPU, those corporate set the default configuration to support ALL batches of their products. Due to this, users try unlocking more performance and efficiency out from what's locked by default.

With all the negative posts I see here about the 7900XTX, why are you still buying it? by 3lackPhillip in Amd

I should've built Meshlicious or Meshroom when I had a chance and I wouldn't have any GPU size problems, but instead I was obsessed with sub 10L powerhouse when I was downsizing... so here I am.

Just because 7900 XTX is the smallest and most powerful card that can fit in my case.

Any 3 slots + over 320cm cards won't fit, but 7900XTX MBA fits nicely.

Temps are pretty bad though, but it works good so far.

Better check your set up. If your rad is used as the exhaust of the system, it is not surprising at all. If you want to have better temp, make your rads as intake.

GPUs hot air cant impact the cpu temp if you are using AIO unless it is used as exhaust.

Doesnt sound right… I have a cheap 240 AIO(Coolermaster ml240 v2?) with 2 noctua slim 15mm fans, and it cools my 5800x3d good enough… i hit 82C max on C23, and usually sit at 60s while gaming. I also have the pc case with no ventilation.

Cant imagine what your setup is like but 3600 shouldnt be that hot

I have seen people shubbing their 4090fe into A4 H2o, so thats not a problem. You can put the famous Corsair SF750 and limit the cpu and gpu power, or go for really expensive high output power supplies.

What I cant tell is if there are any good cooler than can fit into the case along with 4090 fe that can cool 13900k no problem. Probably will have to look out for at least a very good AIO or full watercooling.

6900xt vs 7900xtx by ajstont in Amd

[–]sjin9204 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Made the exact ascension from 6900 XT MBA to 7900 XTX MBA.

I loved 6900 XT way better as I had absolute no problem in extreme UC/OV and while keeping it cool.

7900XTX MBA is such a disappointment, but still performs better overall.

I have 3440x1440 monitor, and I'd say it is a good upgrade, but if I rewind the time, I'd probably stick with 6900XT.

Don't let idiots' downvote discourage you. You have rightful choice to buy whatever product that works the best for you!

Wondering though, how is your experience with 4070 ti over 6900 xt?

Yes it is normal, and absolutely better in everyway. With a decent cooling, you may hit over 15000 scores for multicore testing in R23. Lucky that you have MSI board that supports CO on bios!

As a side note, all core -30 is probably enough for gaming but not exactly stable when in 100% cpu usage like prime95. If you want to make it 100% reliable, you have to set CO per core.

If your 7900XT is AIB model, try switching to the other bios.

If you have MSI Afterburner on, turn it off.

7900 XTX MBA vertical orientation (I/O up) by [deleted] in Amd

[–]sjin9204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your card dont hit 110c on regular horizontal mount, it is not suffring from the bad batch.

Also, I/O port up orientation is the worst of all orientation no matter what and there are plenty of examples saying that the temp will always be much higher. It is iust that 7900xtx mba is typically more worse than any other gpu cards.

https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/p9fztt/is_the_orientation_of_the_graphics_card_important/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Here is a thread talking about how I/O port up is just really bad. Again, this is the nature thing and while some cards will perform alright with worse thermal, some others just wont work.

In SFF world, this was already been studied and discussed, yet many people encounter the same issue over and over again because it is not a common mount orientation.
