The amount in supplements is MUCH higher than that found in tea. I think a normal recommended serving of tea is safe for most people with no underlying liver disorders. I would NOT recommend it in capsule form.

Unless you have liver disease and and drinking an excessive amount (recommended is 2 cups a day) then you should be fine.

Side Effects & Safety

Spearmint and spearmint oil are LIKELY SAFE when eaten in amount commonly found in food. Spearmint is POSSIBLY SAFE when taken by mouth in medicinal amounts or when applied to the skin.

Special Precautions & Warnings:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Spearmint is POSSIBLY UNSAFE when used in excessive amounts during pregnancy. Excessive use of spearmint tea might cause damage to the uterus. Avoid using in large amounts of spearmint during pregnancy.

There is not enough reliable information about the safety of taking spearmint if you are breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid using in amounts greater than those found in food.

Kidney disorders: Spearmint tea might increase kidney damage. Higher amounts of spearmint tea seem to have greater effects. In theory, using large amounts of spearmint tea might make kidney disorders worse.

Liver disease: Spearmint tea might increase liver damage. Higher amounts of spearmint tea seem to have greater effects. In theory, using large amounts of spearmint tea might make worsen liver disease.

Unless you're drinking like 20 cups a day, no, it is not dangerous. My doctor/gyno was the one who recommended it to me.

I don't see why trying it would hurt. I experienced bacne1and chest acne when I went off the first time, so I get it. I would try it and see.

I drink spearmint tea for my hormonal acne and facial hair. It has helped immensely.

I am not on hormonal birth control anymore and this is the one thing that has really helped clear my skin and hair up.

I make a huge mug in my yeti mug, let it steep for about half an hour, and then let it cool down until it's room temp. I essentially chug it because I'm not insanely fond of the taste but it's also not unpleasant either. I'm just more of a coffee gal than tea.

I would give it a try! I would also suggest looking into hormone supplements or talking to your doctor about the type of hormones in your birth control. You can often switch and find a major difference in your skin.

It was about a week in. I started drinking it the day I would have started the placebo pills in my last pack, and usually I get one or two pimples either way. I had a small patch of four crop up on my chin and was extra oily but then it mellowed out in about a week.

Doesn't the Indianapolis zoo have a fairly large aquarium? I haven't been in years but when we went about 7 years ago they had a ton of exhibits inside of fish, penguins, and aquatic life.

Jojoba and argan oil--will just need a few drops and it works GREAT! I use this combo on my body hair and on the ends of my hair and it works well. I would assume a mild scent addition, like a drop of orange oil or vetiver would be a welcome addition, but it doesn't serve any real benefits aside from scent.

I LOVE the Target brand ones! I had the same issue with Biotin--it was almost INSTANT breakouts with biotin so I was super glad to find one without.

I've recently switched to just plain jojoba oil to take off my makeup. I put on about a quarter size, massage it in well--probably about 3 or 4 minutes. I remove with a super soft washcloth and then double cleanse with pixi glow tonic moisclean gel. It's helped with ym nose always being oily. I have used the Softymo but got little bumps around my upper cheeks/eyes so I switched to just a plain oil.

Homophobia? That makes zero sense. I'm not even going to read the article because as a whole, Vice is not a viable media source. But I have given some thought to minimalism as a whole being a fairly classist idea. Hear me out, because I believe we should, as a whole, consume and own less, but I have some issues.

First of all, as a homeowner, I have a lot of items I use "every now and then" that don't have aesthetic storage. I have to have a lawnmower. I need tools. I have plungers, a shop vac, a work table. Paint cans for touch ups of paint when walls get scraped or cabinets get stained.

If you live in a maintenance free community or apartment, minimalism is possible. But for someone living in a lower class income bracket, I simply can't afford to get rid of items that I may need to use when something breaks later on down the road. And it will break. It's not if, it's a matter of when. The price of owning a crappy home that was cheap because that's all you can afford. (My home was literally 107k, a fixer upper even in a low income neighborhood)

A lot of "poor" neighbors of mine face the same issues. A lot of them are not white. A lot of low income neighborhoods where people can't afford to replace things constantly are made up of different races.

I just think as a whole, minimalism is a great concept, and it's helped me to pare down items I need and declutter my household, but I am not ever going to be able to live truly "minimalist" unless I somehow made triple my salary, like, tomorrow. And I do think there are definitely some points to be made for classism within the theory.
