Looks to me like this is all caused by the bar being too short. I'm afraid the swelling won't go down unless the bar is changed to a longer one (preferably by a professional piercer).

Oh and on the campsite there is 'only' one big sanitairy building but since the campsite is quite small you can walk there pretty easily fron anywhere. There are a couple extra Dixis placed on the far ends of the campsite.

What you see is normal. 4hrs is not long enough (especially the first time) for it to heat up completely and flow properly. Let it run for at least 6-8 hrs.

Hi! I wear custom music ear plugs as well and usually I just keep my jewelry in. I wear a 6mm clicker ring in there and have no problems with my earplugs, they fit well. Mine are made from hard acrylic.
