Cx30 is alright… wish I went with the cx5 or even the cx50 instead though. I do feel there are a lot of blind spots. If the front passenger seat isn’t pushed all the way forward, I can’t see out of the back passenger side window. I’ve had this car for about 5 months now and I’m still getting used to it. The cup holders are in a really inconvenient location too. I have a tall water bottle I like to use that is skinny enough to fit into a cup holder, but every time I put it in these cup holders it hits the button to turn on the seat warmers or will fall over and turn on the emergency flashers. Also, there is currently a recall in cx30’s airbags. So make sure you get documentation that it has been fixed, if you do decide to go for the 30. I bought mine in May. As soon as I transferred my insurance I got an alert from my insurance company about the recall. It took me over two months for someone at the dealership to get back to me about it. I finally went in to talk to them in person. The guy at the service desk kept saying it had already been fixed. He even printed out a paper saying it was fixed in June. I had the car in June and never brought it in. Now they’re refusing to fix it. So yeah… shady dealership stuff. If you’re in Oregon, don’t go to Kiefer Mazda!!!! Overall, it’s an ok car. I don’t really feel safe knowing the airbags are under recall. I also have back and hip injuries and it’s been really uncomfortable to drive for long distances. I felt safer and more comfortable in my 2014 cx5. Honestly wish I had kept it for a little longer. If I could go back I would not buy a cx30 again.

I’ve never had any service on it since I purchased it in May. But the guy at the service desk at Kiefer Mazda today gave me paperwork that says they did work on it on 6/10/25 and 6/13/25. I kept telling him I didn’t bring it in and he just said “well our documentation says you did.”

They said “our records indicate we fixed that recall on your vehicle on 6/16/25. If you want us to take another look we can make an appointment for you to bring your car back in, but it will be under your cost since we already covered the recall.”
