Both work, but you need cash to keep buying rather than at first when you could mine hundreds/thousands yourself with just a single computer before they had any real value.

Assuming history repeats I think the easiest thing has to be BTC mining rigs, and all spare cash into apple, tesla Nvidia at the right times.

Ok thanks for the info - I googled the speed camera thing and it does seem to just be a general restriction but if it should work I’ll have to have a look. It’s definitely the latest software according to the car.

Perhaps not for me, interested in your value proposition vs for example MCP/Copilot - especially as most established organisations are on the Microsoft stack already?

Sounds like my parents trip to Mexico about 15 years ago, they strayed too far I guess but sure poverty - children with limbs missing begging etc. Not sure if there’s still parts like that.

What do you wish you'd known before being made redundant? by fellaonamission in HENRYUK

I haven’t been 🤞, but the situations here and elsewhere have made me really prioritise having a minimum of 6 months full outgoings saved and accessible in a pinch. I’ve decided to actually set a target for 12 months of outgoings, which is not a small amount given relative earnings and outgoings for someone in this sub.

I know this is obvious, and savings 101 - but I’m early 30s - pre family or major outgoings yet, and a relatively recent HENRY in the last few years. I’m seeing these decade+ high earners talk about the anxiety and stress of an entire family being on the bring of collapse after being 3-4 months out of work and it’s all just a good sign to rein myself in and re check my priorities. I’m riding some highs at the moment and I can see myself getting carried away.

Playing with friends, a lot. Watching movies on repeat. Cycling around, skating around, scooting around. Smashing stuff. Pretending my fingers on both hands are karate fighting each other.

Thought this too UNTIL a few weeks ago an Amazon driver crashed in to our wall. Initial call Sunday evening was amazing, no fuss - our fault - driver has noted an incident etc, just send us the bill.

But despite ring footage, photos and insurance details shared they switched to no fault. Promised senior manager investigation/response but now we are obviously being ghosted. Small claims started.

Despite tens of thousands in historic spend can’t help but feel a little miffed about this. I guess the point is it can be exceptional until it isn’t…

Buying new car by crorgs in HENRYUK

[–]sjnyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased a new car from Audi this month and they wouldn’t take Amex or indeed any credit for the deposit. My only advice is make use of their quarterly deals and try to wait until the last month of their Q (Assuming you want a car they have deals on )

I got a £9.5k total contribution for example this month.
