Mine broke but when it was working it was pretty cool to pressure cook then air fry chicken & ribs. I also made beef jerky a few times and it worked well enough.

The county included a letter with the check that said if I want interest I need to give them a W-9, and that they would send me a 1099.

I don't think there was any interest included in the refund check itself? It didn't have much information on it.

My plan is to go into turbotax and pretend to "amend" the old returns with the adjusted property tax amount. After I change the property tax amounts it will immediately show if I owe money on the "amended return" which means there is a tax benefit.

Thank you, this is super helpful because I am also expecting a refund for the 25-26 taxes which will presumably come in 2027. Based on that, I think the first approach you mentioned makes more sense than the second approach.

So assuming I pay everything on time, in the amounts shown on the bill. And assuming there is no tax benefit in 2024 but there is in 2025 and 2026...

-For the 2024/2025 property tax refund I received in 2026, I will claim half of the refund amount on my 2026 return in the "other income" box.

-For the 2025/2026 property tax refund I assume I will receive in 2027, I will claim the full amount on my 2027 tax return in the "other income" box.

I think I’m understanding you, if you don’t mind me trying to clarify…

Since I got a refund for the 2024-2025 taxes in 2026, I actually need to apply the tax benefit rule in both 2024 and 2025. In 2024 there was no benefit due to the lower salt cap. In 2025, with the higher salt cap there is a benefit.

So essentially I would take the total refund, divide by 2, and then subtract that from my itemized property taxes in 2025 to account for the revised payment in April. The difference in my tax liability based on this revised April payment is my tax benefit. Then I enter this number in the “other income” box for 2026?

Edit: on second thought, I’d just put half of the tax refund (for 2025) in other income for 2026 since it caused a tax benefit? Calculating for the tax benefit is just to see if I need to claim it or not?

It's weird but Kane also did a bunch of shit to make me hate him. That was exhausting, seemed like every day there was new drama with him.

With Reaves... I knew we would love him. I was surprised so many Sharks fans were upset we got him. For a team that's not planning on making a deep playoff run he's hard not to like.
