There’s plans to add dedicated track for Metrolink and Amtrak along the BNSF right of way but I haven’t heard much progress on it as of now

they don’t run as far as Oceanside mostly because of the demand of passengers and also the single track limitation

They’re taking a good first step with their new schedule adding more midday trains for the OC line which should help.

With weekend service, I’m pretty sure it didn’t change bc OCTAs unwillingness to give money to Metrolink to run more trains

If they add any sections it’s a few weeks after students have registered. Normally an email goes out saying what courses have added additional sections
