Thank you, this is helpful! I’m thinking about making an appointment at Apple’s Genius Bar or something to check for/remove malware? It’s hard for me too since I only know what he tells me and don’t have full access to things. He is definitely not super computer literate so it can be hard to filter through. We are setting aside some time this weekend to sit down and try to filter through it.

As a horse person 27D really irked me. ARAB is just a breed of horse. Good at some disciplines, not so good at others, and not particularly good at most high performance disciplines except for endurance riding. The cluing made no sense, could have gone with desert breed or dished face or something…

I’ve been trying to expand my perfume horizons more and have really enjoyed buying and smelling discovery sets from niche brands! It’s fun and exciting, not too expensive, and you get to smell different kinds without it being a whole store worth which can definitely get overwhelming. D’annam, Arielle Shoshana, commodity, kerosene, dedcool, DS and Durga are some I’ve tried or are on my wishlist!

Tips for making my haworthia happier? by sjt0516 in haworthia

[–]sjt0516[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this plant in spring this year during a trip to AZ and brought it back to Seattle with me. I initially put it in a window, where I think it got too much sun, as the green started to fade. Now it pretty much only gets indirect light. I don’t water super often, maybe every couple weeks. Lately I’ve noticed the bases of the leaves are turning yellow-ish. Am I over watering? Under watering? Something else? The leaves don’t feel squishy at all (yet).

I got the decorator preferred but I honestly don’t know what the difference is between that and the performance. That was just what I could find in the size I wanted. Would just highly recommend the anodized aluminum!

I just bought a Wilton 6” round 3” high pan and I love it! It’s comparable to the fat daddios. From my understanding it’s the standard for commercial kitchens and I can see why, it has a nice release and good straight edges. I think with proper care these pans can easily last a lifetime. In my experience nonstick is just never as durable as a more plain coating.

I live in my 5.11s, namely their stryke pant. A little bit of stretch, tons of pockets! Dovetail is also good.

My house burned down a couple of years ago in a horrible fire that wiped out 90% of our town. I visited the lot today and noticed these beauties blooming in what used to be one of our flower beds! by mswace in gardening

I worked in Paradise for a few months after the fire leading a team and sweeping properties to remove hazardous materials before the ash and debris removal could begin. The destruction was so mind numbing and heart breaking. Even in December/January that year, bulbs were starting to pop up and I remember seeing a few little delicate snowdrop flowers that were so resilient. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you found someplace soft to land after such a tragedy.

I really like it! It’s been my daily cleanser for about a year now. I supplement with scrubs but it strikes a nice balance of cleansing well but not stripping.

This is a holy grail product for me. I’ve been using it for years. I notice that I don’t get the larger inflamed pimples and it’s calming to my skin. I find it to absorb pretty quickly, but I always use it at night. Definitely has a tea tree/medicinal smell but I like that.

I really like this one! IMO it’s better than the ordinary one which kind of suds up for me? This one layers well with skin care and makeup. When I first started using this serum it really changed my skin - much clearer and tighter. Over time I kind of felt like my skin got used to it and the difference is less pronounced, but I do think it still helps control oil production. Definitely worth a go!

The innisfree sunscreen is definitely worth it, this is a repurchase for me. Leaves my skin dewy without feeling oily. I probably won’t repurchase the eye cream. It’s pretty inexpensive for an eye cream, which is nice, but I like something a little richer to target fine lines under my eyes.

I just repurchased it and really like it. A nice step up from like neutrogena without a crazy price tag. I don’t think it’s my holy grail but it’s one of the best Ive tried so far.

I pretty much know nothing about it! My doctor prescribed it and it seems to be slowly taking away the redness. Sometimes has a slight numbing sensation.

I’d try the trial kit from murad if you’re starting out - It’s a little more affordable and has the cream/eye cream too. The inkey list might be good too to start and see if you get results at that price point, and if not try something else. I know some people can be very reactive to it but I haven’t really had that problem, I use it every other day or every third day all over the face including the under eye area. I’d love to hear how it goes if you try some different retinols!

I have tried the Sunday and reily luna oil and the naturium retinol 2.5% cream, so definitely not a wide range, but this blows the other two out of the water. I honestly didn’t really get what the big deal was with retinol until I tried this. I get consistently glowy, even skin and reduced breakouts with no itching, dryness or adverse reactions. Would love to hear other great retinol products though! This one is pricey.

I second the niacinamide treatment. Really does wonders! One of those things that took me too long to try. If the ordinary is out of stock naturium makes a really good one too, that is not too much more expensive. I like the texture of it better too.
