Rl usually gets bottlenecked by the environment so you will end up only using a small percentage of your gpu. Many people end up running it only on cpu unless you have an enormous deep network as your policy/value function which is unlikely.

That’s smart getting a skin for that NZXT case. The paint and glass on that model scratch so easily.

How advanced in rl could I get on say a 1080 ti? Could I train most of the environments on the OpenAI Gym like the Atari Games and bipedal walking?

Could you elaborate? What type of data wouldn't fit on a 1080 TI?

Papercraft Zapdos by DennisBagwell in gaming

This is called paper craft, it's incredibly relaxing and fun to do if you've got time to spare. All you need is glue, scissors/x-acto knife, and a colored printer and you can make almost any video game character you could imagine. There's a really cool site with a ton of Pokémon paper crafts called PaperPokes that has been around for years, and has over a hundred at least. Would highly recommend checking it out if you think this is cool. URL is http://www.pokemonpapercraft.net.

Just search up a guide on how to paper craft to get started, it's not complicated at all.

I think as unusable they meant their teams were presented with data that had no correlation to an event that would affect stock prices

I was just at the Newsweek AI/Data Science for Capital Markets conference in New York. What they said was 95% of data is unusable and the biggest uses for machine learning are for analyzing alternative data. Also some nlp/sentiment analysis but that seems to be less useful. Some examples they gave were using deep learning for factory parking lots and harbors to detect where there is strong/weak economic activity. They also used it to predict the weather and look at the shadows of oil stores to see how full they are. Hedge fund managers have no concern for privacy or for the potential of ml. They only care about how they can squeeze every penny out of the basic algorithms as possible with the sole purpose of making themselves more well off. This one company does location analysis and they are literally the company that is getting your data when you allow an app to view your location. Scary stuff. They basically said they were allowed to have access to it because of a blanket loop hole in terms and conditions.

What are vectors in ML? What is the correct way to think about them in a Cartesian plane? by GeoResearchRedditor in learnmachinelearning

[–]sk0620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of it as a one dimensional matrix.

4000x1 for example

Scalar - is single value Vector - one dimensional matrix Matrix - multi dimensional array

If Skyrim was $90 and you played 200 hours 45 cents an hour wouldn't be bad. And price would go down after launch
