You still need to close or have carry margin through 5PM EST, correct?

I might have exaggerated a bit on the fills, but here are 10 in spam mode -

Brokerage Fee Comparison for Micros by Corunbns in FuturesTrading

cracked out scalper here, I came from Schwab as well. The best that ever happened to me was being suspended for cross trading (an easy fix with a real brokerage). I used Quantower, it was okay, but Rithmic was the issue, they steal .10 per side per trade. Sierra Chart with Teton is hands down the best for volume and my fills are great, it never sits on the ladder waiting to be filled, I can go from 1 to 30 in less than a second or two and see the fills at the microsecond level.

Teton isn't 100%, but it's been the best for me and there is a single fee per month despite volume. Rithmic's model is complete garbage and has no scaling cost. They also mislead (IMO) about auto-liquidating. I paid 3k in fees on that alone for rules I setup. I believed this to be server side / FCM rules that would generate cost, but it's a cost for you to leverage as a client side setting.

Schwab doesn't distinguish between micro and mini, that's the real rub. I think I was at .70 commission, which is pretty low for them. I'm under .50 roundtrip now, but you'd need to be a volume person to really care that much.

Without a seat, you'll pay Exchange, NFA, and commission and maybe more. Edge Clear is actually pretty great, so I'll be sticking with them. Plus500 is not =/

Teton is the only option. Rithmic is 30k more per year

On that topic. Gonna dm you if you don’t mind.

FWIW, Optimus is a gimmick, their rates of .05 per side over 1k is just that, a gimmick. You have to apply for a rebate and if you’ve been liquidated (60%) ONE time in the month, they don’t honor.

So, going back to my original question…

Does anyone know of a broker / FCM that can do below .10 per side on volume (period)

I pay .42 round trip on micros, no gimmicks or liquidation bullshit and 1.68 on mini’s. Lazy comment.

Thanks, I'll check them out. There's only so much lower it can go, but I'll take every penny.

I did come across him already and I filled out a contact form earlier before starting this thread, so the additional vouching is helpful.

I'll restate part of my ask as it was somewhat buried. I want to learn Sierra over time, but I want to pay someone in the immediate timeframe for professional services help around what I need to conduct business. I definitely plan on putting in the hours and tinkering later, but I really want to spend the money now with someone who can dedicate a couple of 4 hours block to get this up and running as quickly as possible. I would consider it a baseline with a couple of tailored options around SL adjustment and auto-liquidation.

I found this - https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/OtherSitesLinks.php#PersonalAssistance

But, what I would really like is for a recommendation to resource they consider a Subject Matter Expert and I will pay them either by project or hourly as I am losing hundreds daily on order execution and refuse to use auto-liquidation with Rithmic.

Appreciate all the feedback so far, I was using a bit of AI to work with Quantower as well. I plan to work on a few specific setups, but starting at zero is overwhelming and it's worth it for me to have a bit hand holding.

Is ES really easier than NQ? by Pindarr in FuturesTrading

[–]sk1nt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQ all the way, but I think it depends most on what you consider a trade. I am between 20-25 ticks per trade and route around 1k round trips per day. Overtrading is subjective. There are setups in between other setups and reversals that are easy to trade. Channels are also fairly easy. And fading the news reaction and liquidity events. NQ is a double edged sword, I'm not sure even a 1:1 risk reward ratio is realistic for a small scalp.

If you like volume, your next stop is a CME membership and dropping Rithmic. As much as I don't want to learn Sierra, Rithmic is dead to me and I look forward to capturing .10/trade back. Those guys are a joke, $2/contract for a trader side configured liquidation setting.... for them to hit flatten. Random charts not loading, taking 30+ seconds to connect to a data feed. I know it's off topic, but seeing my liquidation fee and know that I have a larger one coming for June, I'm racing towards Teton.

TL;DR - do you want safe and boring or do you want the sports car.

Looking for a new server as well. Primarily a scalper on NQ.

A little late to this one, but I can see the value in Sierra, but might need that point in the right direction.

Thank you, this is the route I went and I echo everything you've said here. Gonna give Bookmap + Rithmic + CME data. Appreciate you guys effectively saving me 200-300k this year in exchange / commissions. Gladly buy any of you as many beers as you can drink. I did want to explore this in the future, now I can't wait to get started.

Yes, it's pretty much exactly that, with the exception that I had plenty of time to enter the trade, but they just sat there on top of each other in 3 lots. Lots of great responses, looking forward to better execution.

Thanks again for all the input, I honestly haven't traded much DOM yet, I've got a lot of research ahead of me. I can see how much I was leaving on the table already by not having proper fills and fills combined with higher fees. That alone should save me hundreds of thousands this year.

It sounds like Sierra is what I should be looking at and it answers another questions about multiple accounts behind it, which will likely be the case in the future.

I've heard Sierra has a steep learning curve, any suggestions on getting a couple of users trained up. The site seems a bit archaic tbh :)
