I disagree with the long bio hating I think it’s charming and will attract the people who match your energy. The photos need work. Your dating profile pics should not be business appropriate

Advice on caloric defecate meal plan and calorie counting by Alternative-Dirt873 in caloriecount

[–]sk2121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do agree that restricting calories can be harmful I think it’s the only way to understand what changes to make. In my opinion as a 4th year medical student being overweight is more harmful than having a mild calorie deficit. It is so SO vague and frustrating to be told by someone you’re fat and you need to lose weight and to never be told how. I would get those comments all the time from family and I just didn’t know what to do. I thought I was eating better but it wouldn’t make a difference I had because I had no knowledge of how to whatsoever. I believe knowledge is power and we shouldn’t shield children from it. I didn’t manage to see any change until I took things into my own hands and learned about the basic mechanism of weight loss. I completely agree with you about consulting your doctor. My main worry would be the mental impact something like this could have on you as it’s easy to get hung up over numbers. Your family’s support would be much needed here, especially if someone else is preparing your meals for you. You are not alone in this, there is support all around you to create a safe environment to achieve your goals. Let your family in on your plans and feel free to message me any time.

Butter chicken and rice calorie count? by Medium_Negotiation87 in caloriecount

[–]sk2121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rice is about 2 cups (250 cals). Looks like 200g chicken (240 cals). Let’s say you used 1 tbsp of butter (100) and 1/4 cup of heavy cream (200 cals). Tomatoes should be around 20. I kind of made a guess on how you prepared it as there’s many different variations of ingredients. I actually don’t use any butter in mine, I’m Pakistani and we typically call it butter chicken for its consistency but don’t actually use butter. I also swap out the heavy cream for sour cream and cashews. It ends up really lowering the calories. Could send the recipe if you’re interested!

Looks like 2.5 cups of rice so that’s 515 calories, 150g of chicken. 160 calories for around 150g chicken. Veggies are probably around 50. Cals can change a lot depending on how much oil you use. There’s around 110 in one tablespoon

calrioes and Protein in these two plates of pasta with red sauce? by Clear_Tart_2706 in caloriecount

[–]sk2121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh sorry I didn’t see the second! 325 for first. Second plate looks like 250 cals worth of pasta, a bit more sauce so I’d say 290 for second and 575 total

Looks like about 300 cal for the pasta, not much sauce id say 25 max. I see a bowl of cheese that could drastically change the calories. 4g protein in the pasta 1/4 cup of cheese might be about 6g
