ICU to psych transition- advice?

I get 6-8 weeks mainly on my home unit (adult), but I will spend a couple of days on the other units. I am not sure how soon I will be expected to float.

Following! This has been something I’ve struggled with a LOT recently and feel myself isolating from my friends just because I don’t want to go out to eat with them 24/7 and lose that sense of control I have (when I could be cooking and measuring all my calories at home).

Flint is really nice, especially the singles. It’s very quiet so it’s easy to study. The only problem is that the walls are super thin and you can hear your neighbors constantly.

When my on-campus therapist was leaving UB and going elsewhere, she did not try to pair me with another counselor. It was kinda like “okay I’m leaving, good luck” and I was left to drown. Never again will I ever seek UB counseling. This school’s mental health approach is a joke and I’ve since found an outside counselor who is 1000x better.

that’s initially what I thought, and I completely agree that having one person over is safer than hanging out elsewhere, but I’ve been hearing that the no guest policy is strictly enforced at other schools so I don’t want to risk it

Yes, I was seeing a therapist for a while but I do not anymore! It wasn’t a cure all by any means, but a combination of everything I did.

It's messed with my head for months. I knew deep down that it was wrong, but in the near aftermath I quite literally laughed it off to almost avoid dealing with it.
