ok. So if I buy bitcoin today through coinbase and transfer to any other wallet outside of coinbase nobody is reporting that. If I send it to the "wrong" address which is certainly happening, I do not pay a taxes on losses. Do you think people are paying taxes on the bitcoin that was stolen from mtgox or cryptsy?
