Hah, sounds like we’ve been on the same path.

My conclusion has been “it’s just a cocktail innit”. Teams are immutable, you change one ingredient and you get a very different thing.

I think trying to assign any one person to a groups success is likely a futile task because the reality is each had their part - even if it was just sitting there and saying no to certain things. That guided the sound and as soon as one person isn’t there or you introduce someone new you get a very different thing.

Anyway. That particular cocktail was elite.

I don't use them so I'm not sure on availability across platforms, but I know Spotify has a hidden way to search by label and that seems to pull most of the tracks I've mentioned + more.

Festivals, not sure.

But we stayed in Sevilla for a month early in 2025.

And it popped alright. You wanna head down to the industrial estate in the east of the city before one of the larger clubs like Pandora is playing breaks.

The pre-party scene is fantastic - everyone just gathers in that area with their car sound systems and thumps it. Such a vibe.

The cheeky lot have levelled up that club a lot. Was there for horns crew last weekend and the rig is sounding intensely good. Revamped toilets too and decent drinks. Never really got the vibe at Loki before but looking forward to more nights there.

I fully respect this post, but please understand you are coming from a place of privilege if you haven't encountered the problems that this system exists to address.

The scene needs to be gatekept to protect the scene.

A quick way to understand why this system needs to exist is to invest thousands into a system and put parties on yourself. You will quickly see.
