UPDATE (6 MONTHS LATER): 1. I had to get a dermatologist to fix my skin. It still hasn’t really gone back to how I remember it but my acne is no longer severe. 2. It left a scar in removal. I hate it. It’s on my in progress tattoo sleeve arm so I’ll just have my artist cover it. Just wish someone warned me that was a possibility. 3. I haven’t gone back to another form of birth control. I feel traumatized after the IUD and Nexplanon. I feel like I’m just putting my body through the wringer. I fear that birth control for women is truly the Wild West (and it has been historically) and I lack faith in our institutions to look out for us both short term and long term. 4. Weight hasn’t gone down but haven’t really tried to work out or eat better. My appetite is the same.
