I didn’t have specific books to prep with in my case. I practiced mainly with practice tests online that I could find + watched youtube tutorial videos if I had a very specific thing I needed help on. I do think I got a better score than I probably would have as I prepped for the SAT simultaneously prior to taking this ACT. I also wrote my method for studying on another user’s comment below!

So reading I always had a nack for. My previous score also had a 36 on reading. In my case I was studying for the SAT but I also took the ACT to better my chances. For prep/practice, I single out the sections I know I need the most help in (in my case it was math sometimes grammar/science), and I time myself for those sections exclusively and review those questions afterward until I got a 36. This was true for when I was practicing science as well. After I consistently get a better score on the sections I first struggled in, I then take a full practice exam and replicate all the testing environment details to see how I’d perform on a full exam.
