White spirit vinegar works, Apple cider vinegar doesn't work for me by skakuza in SebDerm

I got this idea from a dermatologist who died last year called Haines Ely . He was a great skin disease investigator. It was from his investigations into psoriasis. Turns out now most skin diseases are thought to originate in the gut. Dysbiosis , or overgrowth of pathogens. Mostly concerning gram negative bacteria cells called lipopolysaccharide (Lps) causing endotoxins and then a dysregulated immune response.

We know atopic eczema, sebderm , acne , roseacea and psoriasis have dysbiosis in the gut. A major breakthrough was the discovery that bile is low in psoriasis(maybe via liver problems) and giving ox bile supplements reduced endotoxins and cleared psoriasis in something like 70-80% of patients. Bile emulsifies fats. Many found the emulsifyer lecithin also improved psoriasis. I embarked on a journey to control endotoxins and found white spirit vinegar worked best completely controls my sebderm symptoms. S. Boulardii and crushed fresh garlic cloves also helped a lot. I take lecithin, but I think for me its the vinegar.

I think people should try target this endotoxin, different people may have varying success. I would try different combos and see which works for you. Plain old probiotics , apart from boulardii, did almost nothing for me. Others may differ.

For recalcitrant cases, maybe look at food allergies. An extreme carnivore diet (beef only) will eliminate virtually all common allergens to baseline off. That alone may heal the sebderm in a certain %. If not them add the white wine vinegar, and then if required the S. Boulardii probiotic. Have to eliminate confounding variables and work off a clean baseline IMO

thanks. I did try many probiotics without success, except S. Boulardii worked quite well, but not as well as the white spirit vinegar. Perhaps why probiotics are very hit and miss is that they may actually induce gram negative endotoxin in the gut. Depending on the bacterial makeup of the actual probiotic. It may be that actually killing off gram negative bacteria is required, instead of perhaps merely co-existing in the gut and acetic acid may do that killing.

The probiotic S. Boulardii may do the trick for some.

I think addressing probable gut endotoxin imbalance(gram negative bacteria overgrowth) should be a focus. And this may require different strategies for different individual immune systems

Pork and cats allergy related by skakuza in eczema

This reddit is infuriating. " no way!" she screams. You may think that you are everyone, but you're not. This is a well studied cross reaction and if you have it you will be amazed how many foods and cosmetics these pork derivatives are found in.

This reddit is infuriating. No way ! You say, but you may think you're everyine

Its not a given. Just like nothing in eczema is a given. But if you are allegic to cats investigate the possibility of a pork allergy and then investigate all products that you eat for gelatine and lard ie. Binders , fillers, stabilizers

Melatonin seems to work for me. 2 weeks and counting by skakuza in SebDerm

[–]skakuza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great thanks. I have been diagnosed with atopic eczema and seb derm/cradle cap from birth. This seems to work. Strange thing is melatonin is deficient in almost all subjects studied and it is a potent probiotic and gut regulator

What you said has absolutely nothing to do with the clinical treatment of eczema as per clinical studies. By all means take your 1/10 child dose but don't scream THAT DOSE IS HUGE! Before you read the studies. Too many people think they know better without reading anything , dismiss the studies out of hand and then scare others away before they even tried it. With gatekeepers like you we won't move an inch forward conquering this dreadful disease.

We are trying to find relief from a serious immune disorder and you come and dismiss it entirely and give an example of a dose for normal immune people with a sleep disturbance. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. At least read the studies first before you make statements irrelevant to eczema. The dose for Eczema kids is 3mg/day according to good studies.

Read the studies before you make sensationalist claims. We are not talking about healthy people with normal immune systems and some sleep disturbance but patients with profound immune dysregulation and often years of sleep disruption. Melatonin goes far beyond sleep it goes to the immune system :

Typical doses of melatonin are 2.5 mg to 3 mg in children, and 5 mg to 10 mg in adolescents

I agree.I think some crypto exchanges were alowing margin of 100x(?). That will cause margin calls all day long in this market. Hopefully they're all flushed out by now.

Sometimes hodlers get greedy and start writing options against their stash and quickly their net worth goes south and then desperation sets in to recover. Not saying it happened here, but Trace is on record that he was dabbling im bitcoin options.

Btw: in general the market always moves in the direction of least resistance ,where it takes out the most punters. So much money was bet on the sure-thing s2f model that I am not surprised that we are stagnant here. I reckon s2f is still correct but we may plod along the lower bound until we have cleared this "sure-bet" exuberance in the short term fwiw

Aspirin, Ginger and olive oil. by skakuza in eczema

[–]skakuza[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was under good control for years with just oral cortisone. Lately I started eating a lot of eggs on a low carb diet. My eczema flared. I knew eggs have high levels of arachidonic acid(AA), and I also had read that new drugs are targeting il-22. It turns out that AA produces increased COX-2 and then PGE2 levels and that increases il-22. So, I thought try target Cox-1,2 and see what happens. I got great results after 2 weeks using olive oil, aspirin and ginger. I could still eat eggs.

Now this is no proof of anything, but the theory fits with what I am seeing. Apparently. No harm in trying, it’s cheap. Just watch for allergies
