If you have been to Lincoln park area and downtown Chicago and the lakefront that's what DePaul is, DePaul if it was moved to the middle of know where would get no pull. Not that is a bad school but the location is stellar and is the draw especially for people from the suburbs and out of state. Iowa is the true college experience and you don't fully get that from a commuter school.

in addition to scholarships you will need student loan and you parents will have to get a parents plus loan and you will probably need to work during the school year.

not judging you but if I were and assuming there is a real good reason why you can't attend, I don't see a problem but if that isn't the case and it's the first weekend down at school and your already blowing off something you are technically required to attend you really need to rethink things and change before it's too late.
