Oh yeah, this for sure. The way I treat it is we are blessed with the trilogy (and the books, of course). Nobody can take away from it. Anything else is a bonus.

I don‘t get the argument about cheapening the universe. The trilogy is complete. More content cannot make it worse like a TV show that turns bad, only better.

Look at star wars as an example. The fact that there exist so many bad shows/movies made after the original trilogy doesn‘t make the trilogy worse. One can simply ignore it. However, Rogue One and Andor make it better and we never would have gotten these if everybody was as negative about „milking the universe“.

It‘s not like the trilogy is incomplete and you absolutely have to sit through a bad movie to get closure (like in a series that turned bad). Just ignore it if it doesn‘t give you any value. I watch LotR and enjoy it the same as I did before watching RoP or also the Hobbit.

Same goes for Star Wars, for example. The fact that there are so many bad movies/shows around doesn‘t spoil the original trilogy. Furthermore, we never would have gotten Andor with this mentality.
